I have to say that this anime is just…amazing. It’s slowly climbing up to be one of my favorite animes. Anyways, we finally have the concluded first arc with Sawako, Yoshida, and Yano’s drift. However, it seems like the real culprit behind it still hasn’t been found. But I’m glad at least the three are back together. I got mad, I teared up, then I giggled. Seriously, this anime is awesome.

Also, it seems that the animation is practically back up to par. It was a bit awkward at some parts, but it’s mainly back to normal, so I’m glad. :D

Thoughts

Awww, so Sawako got her nickname by accident in elementary school. At least it wasn’t intentional…even though it’s still sad. Dx But ahh!! Chibis are so cute~ /random

That’s our Kazehaya! Standing up for Sawako! Even though he can’t help her (which I’m glad he realized, and also because it’s in the girl’s bathroom), I’m glad he was able to do as much as he could, like standing up for her. However, it sucks feeling pretty powerless and just waiting for a result. Dx

Slap that —!! Ugh, don’t go pushing around Sawako! D::<

Tbh though, it felt a bit awkward to make it a chibi. I don’t know if it was to lighten up the scene, but it kind of dulled the mood and effect.

Lol~ It was a nice little comedy interval, when Sawako was confused. I was wondering how she was going to take it, but I didn’t expect it to be funny like this. xDD

Ugh. Just, ugh. It sickens me to see this, and it angers me as well. It especially got me angry when she put her foot up on Sawako. It’s like she’s as low as the ground (umm…sort of a Thai thing: don’t touch things that aren’t meant to with your foot; it’s like comparing it to the lowness of the dirt or ground…or something like that), and it’s just plain disrespectful.

I’m glad that Yano and Yoshida were able to watch. For once it was perfect timing~ :D It’s sweet that they get to hear all of this as well~

WoOt! Go Sawako! It’s great to see her stand up for everyone and finally speak her mind so that everyone could understand her.

:DDD Kazehaya was actually pretty angry, which I was surprised about. But I was so happy (because I had hoped that he’d do it) when he said something about the whole matter, indirectly referring to them. It was just awesome. :D

Yup, part one since I haven’t had the time to watch everything yet. So just the first impressions on the few shows that I watched. I apologize that it’s late, but who didn’t expect it? So this quick blurb first impression post will include Kobato, Kimi ni Todoke, The Sacred Blacksmith, Yumeiro Patissiere, and Nyan Koi!

Kobato

Kyaaa!!!~~ I was so excited to watch Kobato, and the series has not failed me yet! So far, I’m loving it. It’s just so insanely cute. There’s also some humor in it as well. I find the animation a really good adaptation from a manga to an anime. I’m just enjoying the light-heartedness and cuteness to make me relax while watching it. =u=

Kobato is just love~ She has such an angelic voice, as expected with her seiyuu. I think my favorite thing about Kobato is her innocence. It just is what makes the series so cute and fun~ Ioryogi is an awesome mascot, haha. And, Fujimoto is an awesome guy protagonist as well. He’s just so cool, and had a huge grin after seeing him save Kobato. ^^” I am so shipping them together!~ Huhuhu~~

Also, I LOVE the music. It reminds me of the good ol’ classic CLAMP days~ I got reminded of CCS music a bit. :D Probably because of how cheerful and cute it is. Maaya Sakamoto is absolute win, so is Megumi Nakajima. I just love the music. It fits the series so well, and…yes. Love it. x)

Kimi ni Todoke

D’awww, probably my other favorite show of the season (tied with Kobato). Kimi ni Todoke is just such a sweet and adorable series, I just can’t help but giggle with the shipping and fangirl over everything. xD The animation is beautiful, especially with the watercolor-esque background. I just love watching it so far for the shipping and how sweet it is. The story is just so heartwarming and fluffy, and…I can’t wait for more of it.

Sawako is such a sweet heroine. She’s just so lovable. It’s pretty sad how she’s just trying to make friends but everyone runs away from her. Tbh, I don’t think she’s scary at all. In fact, I think she’s quite pretty. :] She’s also so cute as a chibi, and when she’s so happy I feel like I want to be happy too. xDD And, Kazehaya!~ He is just filled with so much man-moe it’s adorable. He’s one of the honestly nice bishies that I love. He’s just so shy and cute! >w< They’re chemistry is also just soo warm to watch I guess. ^^” Definitely sweetest OTP for the season (or maybe overall).

The music…is decent. ^^ The opening is pretty good, and I enjoy it. It’s quite relaxing to listen to as well. Now the ending music was okay. I can’t say I’m totally into the singer’s voice, because tbh it can get slightly annoying…don’t shoot me!. But the animation is pretty, especially with the flower.

The Sacred Blacksmith

Hmm….a pretty decent series so far. The action is quite generic, so it isn’t totally exciting. But I think I’m enjoying it for the same reason everybody else is–the shipping and interactions with Luke and Cecily!~ Overall, I think I’ll follow it if I can, since I want to see more of how their relationship will develop.

Cecily is a pretty…average tsundere protagonist to me. She isn’t bad, especially since her seiyuu is the same as Ayano from Kaze no Stigma lol at seiyuu bias. The only thing that really irks me is that she wears out her family name….a lot. And she does barely anything except talk. But I have a feeling like all characters, she’ll develop and improve later. At least, let’s just hope. Oh and lol at her breastplates, they’re so unreal. Luke~! My favorite character in the series. Luke is just made of absolute win~ He’s so cool, and the pretty tsun-tsun guy but in a totally awesome way. xDD I just wish his character design was as good as the manga. After seeing it, I’m like, “They killed him!” in the anime. But it isn’t that bad. It’s probably just his eyes. xDD Lisa is also a cute loli. So cool with the forging and everything~

The opening, Justice of Light, is a pretty average shounen-like opening. It’s just pretty decent to me. :/ The ending is totally cute with Lisa. xDD As expected of Aki Toyosaki singing–a totally cute singing. I love Aki Toyosaki, so yay for more of her singing~ :D

Yumeiro Patissiere

Such a cute series!~ It’s totally aimed for a young audience, but I don’t care! I like the series because it reminds me of what classic shoujo is about. Raise your hand if it reminds you of your childhood shoujo!~ It has all of those cliche shoujo elements that I like it. xDD I miss having series like those nowadays, so just having a fluffy show like this makes me happy. I mean, seriously, it even has that time thing in the corner like those classic shows. XD All of it…just all of it, reminds me of the old cute fluffy shoujo that just makes you happy and smile. ^^It’s a lot like Kitchen Princess, but hey, I love that series, so I can like this series too, no?

The main character, Ichigo, is a pretty cute character so far who looks like Mitsuki. She’s obviously infatuated with food. xDD She’s a clumsy, like a typical shoujo heroine, but still cute. So far, I find her likable, but there’s nothing much to say after that.

The music is so…classic shoujo!! >w< So I really do like the opening and ending. I just feel a sense of nostalgia listening to it, aha…The animation for the opening and ending are also really cute, especially with the fairies.

Nyan Koi!

Lol, I’ve tried to watch this series like 3 times, but I haven’t been able to finish it until now. It’s like I was meant not to finish the first episode, haha. Anyways, a pretty enjoyable show so far. It has nice humor, although the animation is quite funny at times. Like, the head isn’t shaped right sometimes. So far, a pretty fun series–but mainly for the adorably cute cats.

The main guy is pretty decent…pretty average. Lawl at him with his cat allergies though. Poor guy is stuck in such a bizarre crisis. xD And, lawl at Mizuno’s interest in yakusa comics. ^^ She’s a pretty cute character, even though I don’t think her voice fits her entirely. And the old man is funny….and weird. O.o

Overall…I hope to blog either Kobato or Kimi ni Todoke…or both! I’m not sure though. I guess we’ll all find out once I actually get an episodic post out. xDD Anyways, this was a quick post since I have to hurry onto my schedule. Til next time~!

Gomen for the late post. My stinkin’ post….got deleted. ._. The whole draft. Because it was saved on my cellphone, because I was typing it when I was bored in the car. Then I noticed my brother looking over my shoulder, and when I was trying to clean out my old drafts, I accidentally deleted the wrong draft. TT^TT Plus, school and RL kind of interfered. Not that it’s necessary to talk about but I have this reading assignment I’m being lazy on because the book isn’t my type of book, and…yeah.

Anyways….Hana Kimi!! Omg, I absolulely LOVE this series. I’ve loved it before, and now I watched the Taiwanese version only to have my love for it revive!~ I think it was pretty obvious for anyone who was following my twitter account. So yes, I guess whenever I get some more Hana Kimi my love for the series revives. And yet, I haven’t even read the manga yet. O.O Part 2 of the Hana Kimi obsession, since I actually made a post for the Japanese version in my early blogging days.

I had decided to watch Hana Kimi the Taiwanese version, mainly because I wanted to learn more Chinese. I like learning through watching with subtitles, and I can always ask my mom if it’s correct. So I’m kind of learning at the same time? But it was enjoyable. More than enjoyable, I absolutely loved it, as I’ve already mentioned. It’s just one of those stories that no matter how many times it has been adapted, it just makes you love it even more. And both the Taiwanese and Japanese versions are just fun. They’re funny, light-hearted, cute, romantic, and that doesn’t change in either one. They also just make me happy just watching it, and super excited for the next episode. I feel like I can relax when I watch it and not have to worry about other issues I have. It’s probably why I love it so much. Now the Taiwanese version is a more faithful adaptation. I really can’t decide which one I love more though. The Japanese version is more for the comedy, while the Taiwanese version is more for the romance. <3

So I guess I could start off with…what the Taiwanese version did right. Or my opinion of right and what I loved in detail. Well, most of it will be covered in the characters section, but in the Taiwanese version, it’s just faithfully adapted. That’s a good start. xD Also, the Taiwanese adaptation seriously made me a happy shipper, making me giggle madly and giddy like when I’m reading mangas that are in my hand (the actual books). And that’s pretty rare for me to do with…anything that I’m watching/reading online. The next thing I loved is their cast. Every single actor/actress delivered their performance well and fit each personality. There was a small flaw I noticed, but that’ll be talked about later. The thing that I like is, Ella was a great Mizuki character. She is a tomboy in real life, so she can pass for looking like a guy. In fact, when I first saw the Taiwanese version, I didn’t want to watch it because she looked too much like a guy. Later I realized though, that’s what’s so great about it. Wu Chun has also done a great job for a non-native. He just gives that cool vibe that Sano gives without looking like a jerk, and he makes the character much more likeable than the Japanese version. I wasn’t a fan of the Japanese version’s Sano, and so when I watched the Taiwanese version, I was in for a surprise. He did a good enough performance that I was actually rooting for Sano, unlike the Japanese version. Not to mention that Jiro Wang is also a great Nakatsu, but I can’t really say more than, “He fit the personality.” So I’ll just leave it as that. And two more shallow things…I don’t know if I should mention this, but it’s my own blog, so okay. I realize their shallow reasons, more like joking reasons. 1.) The Taiwanese cast looks better in my opinion, and they don’t talk about looks as often. 2.) They shave their armpits. xDDD I warned you!!

Now just because it was awesome didn’t mean there weren’t flaws. I was enjoying it too much to notice too many flaws. Only three jumped out at me really. The first main flaw I noticed was that, even though it was a great cast, some of the acting or probably just script, was quite corny. I really don’t know if it was the actor’s fault or the script’s, but some scenes were really corny. For example, episode three when he tells her something like, Show ▼

. Sometimes the show can be to the point where it’s just…like a typical drama, which I’m not too fond of. But those are just when it’s at it’s low points. Also, the sometimes the costume. I don’t know why, but it was mainly a complaint aimed at the cafe, where she was dressed as a girl. I was just O.O because her cosume was just, not good enough for her. Music

I have to say that the music is very fitting. The thing I love is that almost every main cast member is a singer. So most of the time you get to hear at least one song from them. There were a few Fahrenheit songs in there, and S.H.E. sang the theme song, and TANK sings the ending. The songs are catchy and mainly fit the mood it was creating. The theme song is terribly catchy that it gets stuck in your head to the point of annoyance. xD But the drama in general has gotten me into these singers and groups, and so I have become fans of them. So now I’m listening to tons of Fahrenheit, S.H.E., Dansong Tang, A. Chord (R. Chord…I will never know), etc. So all in all, the music was good. Maybe becauset the drama was filled with singers?

Characters

Ahh! My favorite part to talk about. Characters are always my favorite part. They’re what makes the whole thing intersting after all. ;] The thing I love about Hana Kimi though, is that they make you love all of the characters in the end. :D

Lu Rui Xi/Mizuki Ashiya: Ah, what a lovable heroine. Lots of credit goes to her actress, Ella from S.H.E. She’s just such a funny, yet stupid character that I like her. Ella does a great job at facial expressions, and they’re one of her main weapons of humor. She mumbles to herself a lot though, and is really careless with letting her identity be revealed to many people. She’s also really funny when she’s scared or freaked out…hitting people. I think one of the funniest moments for me was when she was acting violent…the keyboard/discovery/photographer scene. Pretty much, she’s banging his head against a keyboard uncontrollably. Like the Japanese counterpart, she is just a likeable heroine. ^^ Oh….and her English is great as well!

Comparison: Hmm…that’s a toughie. Ella just barely beats Maki Horikita for Mizuki. It’s a really tough call though, since they’re both great actresses.

Zuo Yi Quan/Sano Izumi: I love the Taiwanese counterpart so much more! I don’t know. It just seems like there’s such a great different and character development for him in the Taiwanese version, since he becomes so much more happier than in the beginning. One funny thing is that when I looked back at my old post, I realized I said that, “He’s too old to play Sano.” Mainly, Shun Oguri looked it. Wu Chun, actually looks like the age of his character (not just because it’s at a college in the Taiwanese version) but just because he looks younger. Yet, he’s older than Shun Oguri, and is turning 30 this year. I’m still going…O.O Anyways, back on topic. I’m drifting off topic. This counterpart just seems more…caring and more likable. Like I’ve mentioned before, I actually rooted for him in this drama. He is also more funny and fun in the Taiwanese version. But in both, he’s an awesome drunkie! :D I love watching him be so nervous in some scenes though…it makes me giggle like the shipper I am. ;]

Comparison: Definitely Wu Chun. He beats Shun Oguri…hands down for me. He just gives a better Sano! :D

Jin Xiu Yi/Nakatsu Shuichi: What can I say? Nakatsu is Nakatsu no matter where you put him. And he is one of the funniest characters in both. He is so lovable in both. He’s just awesome in both. I think the foundation created for his character makes him able to be delivered hilariously by both actors. Jiro Wang has his own style of Nakatsu, and it’s a great version as well. His way of fretting over the homosexual incident makes me feel so bad for him, and the worst part is that he Show ▼

. But I like how it’s delivered in both. It’s much funnier in the Taiwanese, and is more serious in a good way in teh Japanese. Nonetheless, he is a funny, great character in both. I’m glad that in the end of the Taiwanese version, he Show ▼

He lights up the show and makes it light-hearted. It’s hilarious that in the Taiwanese version, his appetite is hilariously, outrageously big and it is emphasized on much more. All in all, as awesome as ever in the Taiwanese version!

Comparison: Another close one. Both deliver their own unique and great Nakatsu. I’ll have to say that I prefer Toma Ikuta slightly more because I find that there were many more funny scenes that he makes in the Japanese version compared to the Taiwanese. But both are stil great. ^^

Now the side character thoughts:

Liang Si Nan/Minami Nanba: The dorm leader for dorm 2. I have to say, when he was first introduced, I was creeped out by him. The rumor about him seemed like they emphasized his playboy ways too much, so that it was over the top. But later, as time passed, I didn’t think he was that bad. He played as a superficial character well, haha. He seems a lot different from his Japanese counterpart however. The only similarity is that there is a girl that they liked in the passed, and that’s what made them a playboy. Their personalities seem totally different though. I like both though. It’s pretty interesting how conceited he can be, but he’s still likable. I ended up liking him in the end. He was also a great tool for some shipping. xDD

Comparison: Hiro Mizushima probably plays a better Minami character. I think the reason is because in the Japanese version, he seems a lot closer to the group and connects to them as family. He seems more caring towards the dorm as well.

Da Shu/Taiki Kayashima: The spirit person! He’s such an awesome side character! He’s just so funny and fun to watch. I really love the actor’s (A. Chord) performance for him. He just plays him in such a funny yet adorable way. He just seems so innocent!~ >.< I just feel sorry for him because everyone always wants him to shut up. But he is really adorable waving at air. x)

Comparison: A. Chord, it’s just so fun watching him, even though he has a smaller role if I remember correctly.

Mei Tian/Hokuto Umeda: I can honestly say, I was definitely creeped out when I first saw him in the Taiwanese version. I guess they really wanted to emphasize that he was gay by adding long hair? I’m pretty sure he’s wearing extensions, since it looks like it. He has a much creepier and more reluctant vibe in the Taiwanese drama, but he is still a fun character. I lawl’ed seeing him giving those massages, especially since Rui Xi walks in on them and misinterprets it as “something else”. It’s also funny how whenever he helps, she gives a “Gays rule!” thing or something. He does turn out to be less creepy by the end, and is a funny consultant. xD

Comparison: Tie. Just…tie. Gah. Tie!! How many more times will I write that?

Other character thoughts include…Yay for more Julia appearances in the Taiwanese version. She is actually really awesome. And I love their choice for her actress, since she really does speak English fluently. I’m glad it got done right, since I can take it much more seriously than when they have accents. She kind of reminds me of my friend’s cousin…haha. Also, both Sekime and Noe. O.o I didn’t think it was them in the beginning. They’re so different than their Japanese counterpart. xDD Noe’s character has the craziest hair, and Sekime’s actor looks old. O.o

Overall

A great beginning for my interest in Taiwanese dramas. It’s definitely a drama I’d recommend. It has the light parts, the heavy parts, but all the great parts. It’s romantic, and funny. I’m able to giggle and kya like a happy shipper watching it. Little things made me happy. It’s a cute, aww-ing show as well. I just love that there is some good chemistry between the characters as well. I guess it helps that they know each other in real life as well? Since Ella’s sister’s boyfriend is apparently Wu Chun’s agent (or something of that sort). The chemistry is well shown when they act at least. xDD Not sure about RL though… Just the show makes me happy. :3 So it’s pretty obvious….that I loved it?

Yay!!~ Shugo Chara is still as awesome as ever (atm). This episode was still really great. Not as fangirling as the last, but still very good. I still had some things to fangirl about. Let’s see…many short quick thoughts on this episode. But other than that, I guess we should be moving on!~

Even though I think I did enough fangirling in my chair (but I had to contain it since I’m in the same room as my family). First of all….Ikuto, so cool. And Amu’s blushing is so full of win~ OTP, anyone? Plus, princess ftw! Not to mention that Amu’s tsun-tsun-ness was well missed, and I just loved how it brough back some of the teasing from the old times. And Ikuto saying he’ll protect Amu = me dying as a fangirl. =u=

O_O!!! It grew a hand! :O

One of my personal favorite pictures of Ikuto. He is just soo….freakin….hot there. Gah. *A* *Ahem* Anyways, I really loved seeing Ikuto and Tadase get along again. And, Tadase freely calling Ikuto “Ikuto-nii-san” is just adorable.

I loved how Satelight enhanced the Open Heart sequence for this episode and made it so much prettier. It just looked….so cool, with the heart rings and all, y’know? Anyways, pretty open heart sequence. ^-^

Haha, even the idiot scientists are surprised that they actually did something right. Gotta have more faith in yourselves! Oh wait, you screwed up too many times. Forget it, be shocked! XD

Hmmm…..I’m disliking her less and less. Maybe you aren’t too bad after all. *pats* She actually feels….regretful! :O

Kyaaa!!!!~ Another fangirl worthy scene. Rimahiko!~ I just loved the Rimahiko in this episode. I liteally started squealing so much trying to hide it.

I couldn’t help but d’awww at this scene. It was such a cute and touching scene between siblings. And seeing Utau blush was also cute. ^w^

*shockgasp!* Scientists actually have a purpose! And they’ve gone onto the good side~ Yeah, the girl isn’t too bad anymore. Can’t say I really “like” her, but she’s okay now. ^^

Andd……gasp! Gozen is a……little boy?!!! Okay, well, there is a bit of sarcasm in there since I read the manga. xD But anyways, I was still shocked by it when I first learned about it. More like a “Wtf?” kind of reaction. For some reason though, I found the scene to be quite anticlimatic. Like….I couldn’t take it seriously. >.>

“Shock! I’ve been being controlled and ruled by a little shouta kid?!”

Yes, Ikuto, we feel your pain. That must suck. Being controlled by a little kid. ._.”

Psshhhh……of course it’s worth keeping. If it wasn’t, why would people die for it? It’s so….wanted and he just thinks of it as nothing. This leads to me wanting to slap him in the face. Actually, I have wanted to do so several times. No matter how cute and adorable you are, there are times, when you need to be slapped. This is one of those times.

Aww....distressing Hikaru is sad to see.

The next episode looks again, good! Wow Satelight! There are a lot of familiar scenes in the manga, such as crying, sad, people, and this distress Hikaru (poor Hikaru!). So I will definitely be following. ^^ Until next time~ Can’t wait!

Sorry for the super late post that this episode does not deserve! School. TT^TT Must I explain more? Well, I will anyways, I had a big math test that I really needed to get an A on, since well…in that specific class tests are worth 50% of my grade. Soo…yes. The good news is that I got 100%! Yeah, boring story of my life because I just needed to explain why I haven’t been on. Cause I’ve been studying and enjoying my life… ._. Also, it took a little longer since I actually downloaded the torrent because I wanted high quality!~

Moving on. Okay, onto the episode. Let’s just say…EPIC-LY AWESOME! :D I absolutely loved this episode. One of my favorite of all time!~ It’s pure touching, Amuto, fangirling, greatness. Just a warning, Tadamu or any other shipping fan besides Amuto should just steer away from this post, since I will continuously fangirl over the Amuto. But besides that on spotlight stealing moment, I don’t have much to talk about. ._. Cause it speaks for itself!! >:D

Lawl, Suu looks so cute in that bubble. x)

I didn’t think that the background was actually going to be yellow. I was expecting pink or blue or something. Just a comment, the yellow looks a little funny. But anyways, I was going to say, I enjoyed how this scene was animated (heck, I enjoyed how every scene in this episode was animated), with the squishy bubbles. But I couldn’t help but lawl when Tadase’s going, “We were enveloped into a ray of light!” or something, because it’s so…I don’t know what the word is for it…dialogue-that-seems-like-it’s-stating-the-obvious.

Sooo….freakin….cute!!! >.< Utau is just so cute as a child, as is everyone.

And chibi Ikuto was done right!~ Anyways, he is definitely cute as well. It was a nice scene for the siblings. It shows how close they are, and they troubles that they go through. They pretty much had to rely on one another because they were all they had for awhile.

Tadase is so cute! Onniiiii-tannnn!!! How adorable. >u< His hands made me lawl though. He looks so tiny though, it’s so adorable. x)a

Aww….Ikuto was really an adorable kid. You can really see how kind and caring he really is. And the expression that he has when the bird was able to fly. So sweet. :’]

Another example of how kind he really is but tries to hide it. It’s too sad, I just want to huggle him. >.< (But the sadistic side of me can’t help but lawl at Tadase falling smack down face down on the ground *gets shot* but the more sympathetic side feels really sorry for him and remembers how cute and adorable he is as a chibi) Anyways, it’s just sad to see him like this never explaining the truth…all too sad. :(

Lawl, such a cute little scene. We get to see an OOC version of Ikuto. So fun. I’m just wondering how his cat ears popped up before Yoru was even born. O.o I thought they popped up whenever Ikuto character changed. Oh well….anime doesn’t have to make sense I guess…

Lol I loved their little expressions since my thoughts matched quite closely. Pluss, chibi thoughts ftw~ I agree with Miki, I thought Tsukasa would be more reliable. But then again, he seemed liket he carefree type of person who sometimes acts like the kid. xDD

It feels so wrong saying this….but omg! Ikuto’s dad looks quite…..yeah. Now we know where Ikuto gets his awesome looks from. xDD But anyways, Aruto!!! We already see him in the anime…! I loved how he was animated though. It just looks way too awesome.

TT^TT I want to cry when I see this. But it also makes me happy that Ikuto is finally able to let it out. It really sucks when you have to bottle up all of the pain without being able to let it go. That’s why I never bottle it up and I just write. Cause it’s hard and saddenning to see it bottled up and eating you up inside. It was a sweet moment and we got to see a little more vulnerable side of Ikuto.

But this makes me smile again. I think one of the things I really love about the episode in general is that you can see that Satelight really saved up money for this episode. So I forgive them for giving us terrible animation for awhile. But since there is such great animation in this episode, we get to see a rainbow of new facial expressions. I don’t know about others, but facial expressions always seem like a big deal to me. Even slight ones can give a different emotion, so that’s probably why.

With Ikuto’s expression, it’s evident that he’s enjoying himself and just seeing that gentle smile makes me a very happy viewer. ^^ It’s sweet and makes me feel happy inside (maybe I’m taking this too far, idk).

However, when a happy moment comes, a sad moment soon comes with it. Iktuo is taken away and Tsukasa is left behind with the regret that he got taken away when he was gone. It was exteremely dramatic and I love how it was handled in the anime. The emotions were just there so evidently.

More ;__________; Seeing Ikuto in chains tied up like he’s in a cage is just so sad. Growing up with that just adds more TT^TT ness.

Yay it was explained! I’m kind of torn on how this scene was handled. It was really sweet and I absoltuely loved how calm the music is and how we get to see more of the inside super kind Ikuto.

However, I kind of wish that they stayed with the manga. The anime still handled it well, but I’m sort of curious why they changed it. It was explained a lot sooner than expected, so I’m unsure if I should be happy on that or not.

*cough*recycledimage*cough* Dia! Oh how I missed the “actual” Dia entrances. Screw those filler ones. Pshh….Anyways, I miss Dia!~ So adorable. ^^

I just loved how the anime handled this scene. It’s just made of epic win, and and…..gosh I just love it! I loved the transition with Ikuto finally coming back. Which btw, IKUTOOO!!!!! We’ve missed you so!!~

Amuto shot ftw. It’s just…Amuto. I loved this extra part. Such a fangirling moment making my fangirling sense tingle!! >:D

Such a cute scene! One of the most aww-inducing scenes in the episode, because it’s a beautiful reunion. I just felt so happy for Yoru, because he totally deserves it for being like….the best chara ever this arc and surviving the evil clutches of the OOC filler disease. Congratulations Yoru, you deserve this reunion! <3 this part!~ :D

Omg yay!~ I loved how well they both look in the anime version. The outfits are just love. And the transformation all together is just plain greatness. Anyways, I’m glad that Satelight added the two transformation. I loved all of the hints of Amuto in the transformations. Anyways, surprisingly enough, not much to say. TT^TT

Ikuto....Y SO HAWTT?!!!!

Anyways, the next episode looks like it’s straight from the manga as well; which means….awesomecakes! Or at least, it really looks like it. Again, I am definitely looking forward to the next episode. Plus we get to see more of him and I guess more of that backstory there. Can’t wait~

Kyaa!!~ It’s been a long time since I’ve been excited so much over a SC! episode. We’ve got plot, great animation, and just…an enjoyable episode. I guess…enjoyable compared to what we’ve gotten before. It’s a great step-up to Doki! and gives me hope that maybe Satelight can finish the Ikuto arc well. Or…at least, better than I thought they would.

Unfortunately, the video I got has…terrible quality again. The site I was going to was down and the videos they embedded well…got deleted. -__- So…back to bad quality pics, hopefully for just this week.

Thoughts

Nikaidou!! Ah…it’s always nice to see him as his sarcasm. xDD Glad everything is going on plot right now…

Despair! TT^TT School is already making me so much busier than last year~ DX And working extra hard to keep up with the high expectations…D:

Yes, it’s a first impressions post because two episodes came out already. I’ll be combining both episodes together for the first impression~ But anyways, Otomen I think has been adapted pretty well from the manga. And I actually really like the drama so far. So definitely following this. ;]

Story & Plot

At first glance, Masamune Asuka is your popular, tough, cool, guy, who is also the top kendo fighter in the nation. However, beneath his manly exterior is a side of him he must keep a secret to himself. He is skilled in cooking and sewing, and loves cute things, sweets, and shoujo manga. He had to keep it a secret after his mother told him to never be like his father, who wanted to be woman; thus, he had to lock that life away. However one day, he comes across a girl being bullied, named Miyakozuka Ryo. After saving her, he finds out the next day that she is a new transfer student. Soon after, he begins to fall in love with her along with having his secret in danger of being exposed.

Well, I’m already a fan of the manga, so I have to say that the story is pretty entertaining. There are some hilarious moments brought out thanks to the story. Not much to say on the story and plot other than it’s not the most original thing in the world, yet still good. The drama also handles the story very well for an adaptation. Sure there are some changes (as most dramas usually do change the story), but not enough to totally alienate the drama so much that it could be considered it’s own story and not an adaptation, which makes me happy. It’s also just one of those nice, cute, light-hearted dramas you get to see, so that’s a plus. ^-^

The first episode was really good, although I’m a little tired of those fangirls. XP They must always be added into dramas, ne? I totally lol’ed at how they adapted the beginning flashback, because it’s so close and just hilarious. But was Asuka’s dad ever that old? I also like the actresss (?)  portraying Asuka for the flashback, since it looks exactly like him when he was young.

The second episode strayed a little more off from the story, but I totally understand and I don’t think they handled it in a way to make me RAWR. It still got the gist of the series at least…>_>

Characters

Asuka Masamune

Meet Asuka, our Otomen in the series played by none other than Masaki Okada (I’ll get more onto that later). Well, for characters, Asuka is one of my favorites. Well, he’s the lead anyways. But he’s just so epicly win with his double sided interests. Pshh…move over Hannah Montana. This guy can beat you with double life along with his cooking pots and all!~ XDD Anyways, I guess I just like Asuka with both his cool and his girly sides. I don’t find it that bad at all in real life actually, because then (we will be jumping wayyy ahead now) the husband and wife can share duties instead of pushing everything onto the women. *ahem* Getting off topic. Anyways, overall, a cool character either way. ^^

And…our actor for Asuka!~ And that is…Masaki Okada! Anyways, I think he fits Asuka pretty well. I’m not sure if he looks the toughest (but I think it’s okay, because I think he still has a resemblance to Asuka), haha, but he still plays well on his girly side. :] But his hair and everything looks like it fits well. When I first figured out it was him I was definitely shocked, because I know him from Hana Kimi as Sekime. And so he looked definitely…different.

But I think he looks way better with straight hair. Yes! So far, I think he portrays his character pretty well. I’ll have to keep watching though!

Ryo Miyakozuka

Ryo is the average…dense, heroine. Yup. But I still find her likable because she’s able to stand up for herself and is just plain cool with her fighting. Lol, I’m the same as her with not being able to do anything related to well…things considered meant for girls (tried cooking a couple days ago…I felt like a walking disaster in the kitchen, but thankfully cooked something good at the end anyways with some help)? I’ve already said that…so moving on. Not much to say about her besides, she innocently cute and tough. xD And that’s what I like about her. She’s too dense in my eyes though. But other than that, not that bad of a character.

Her actress is Kaho, an actress and model. Since I’m still an amateur in dramas, I haven’t seen her before. I think she portrays an innocent, kind, kind of unskilled, girl pretty well. But for some reason I’m not totally convinced on her fighting. I mean, it isn’t bad, but the effects are too visible for me. And her hair seems longer than her manga counterpart.

Juta Tachibana

Juta Tachibana is the playboy who is well…secretly a mangaka of Asuka’s favorite manga. At least, that’s how it is in the manga. In the drama, I’m not so sure how they make of him. He just seems like a guy who watches Asuka, although there was a shot with him and his drawing. I’m assuming their making him the mangaka, but there hasn’t been any shots of him working on the manga strip himself. So…I’m not sure. But we do know he follows Asuka around like a stalker and seems to know his secret, giving Asuka the nickname “Otomen”. I do feel he has a smaller role in the drama, however, and has less interactions with the main character than in the manga.

I can’t say much on his actor, Kazuma Sano. I think they made his hair look a lot like his manga counterpart, lol. I think he does a decent job so far, but I haven’t found anything that stood out about it either. I guess, pretty good, but not special? Anyways, I’ll wait to watch more before officially judging. Afterall, this is just a first impression.

Hajime Tonomine

And the descriptions get smaller. Hajime Tonomine, I don’t know him. xD I didn’t read too much of the manga, and it was quite some time ago, so I’ve forgotten if he did ever show up. Although I do think he’s a drama original. Someone correct me please~ Anyways, he seems like he has a grudge against Asuka, although I don’t know why.

And his actor is none other than Kimura Ryo, Nakao Senri from Hana Kimi, who is quite different from the role Kimura Ryo currently plays. Which is why I can’t take him seriously no matter how much I try. I think he does a pretty good job at his acting, but just doesn’t look tough or scary enough…>_> I mean seriously, how could you take him seriously when you compare his role from Hana Kimi…

Again, bad image quality, and I apologize!

…to now (lol @ his pink bow)? I’ll keep on watching though. Perhaps he’s good enough to convince me sooner or later. ^^

Others

Not much to say…but I don’t remember there being as many bullies that showed up that often. But gah! My memory is failing me! Now…may I ask (well of course I can xD) who is this shouta boy?!

Was he supposed to be that shouta boy who was confused for a girl and followed Asuka everywhere only to have his dreams shattered but still keep his weird imagination? Eh, I have no idea. Oh well…:(

Music

lover soul by Kou Shibasaki

The ED theme!! Oh the ending theme. I absolutely love the ending theme. ^^ I think it’s my favorite out of all drama ending themes so far. Absolute Boyfriend is pretty close though.The song is quite action-packed, and fits the sequence well. It’s just catchy and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet while listening to it. So I will definitely be looking out for the single. :]

But anyways, I love the era it’s shown in (I think it’s Edo…). And the colors are definitely different and just look great. It fits the show very well, and it is able to show both of the character’s awesome sides as well. ^^ Let’s see…well I’ve mentioned this before (not on the post but in comments) that you can totally imagine Etsuraku Camellia fitting the ending sequence.

Overall, I love the drama so far, definitely the one drama I’m following, haha. So…even if you haven’t tried out dramas yet, I think this would be a good one to start out with since it’s adapted from a manga, and is just lighthearted. ^^

Anyways, after coming back from the hiatus it turns out there still isn’t much to talk about since most of the time I spent was working on the blog. Anime

Shugo Chara!! Doki! Episode 93-95

Yes, I’m just going to write my thoughts here for today. I have too many posts planned to do a full SC! post right now. Anyways, I loved Utau’s new song! It’s like…awesome, as always!! Kyaa~ And the the effects are so prettyful. I was kind of torn on how Amu should react about Ikuto. Like, I approved yet disapproved of the idea. And lol @ Eru when Rhythm hugged her. Oh Rhythm and his playah moves~ xD I really liked how they were consistent and referenced the older episodes. But anyways, Utau’s song was awesome, as usual. ;]

Now 94…it actually wasn’t that bad of an episode. I actually thought it was pretty good with the storyline. The kitty was incredibly cute, and even though it was a filler, it was a good one sticking with the original story of SC!. So…approved. I lol’ed how every just happened to have their dreams work out incredibly well to go with finding the kitty. But then again, it’s a show. xD Everything just has to be coincidential like that I guess. xD Let’s see…and the end. Eh…I have no idea how to interpret that. Looks cool though. But I have no idea what the heck Satelight is doing. ._.

And 95. Meh. It was a cute episode with some character development for Rima and Yaya, but I still didn’t find it special. Rima was really awesome in this episode too, and incredibly moe. Tsk tsk tsk…Tsukasa and his secret doors. xD But anyways, I guess it could be considered a smidge shoujo-ai? But I saw it more as a cute friendship sort of thing. The preview looks pretty good though, it seems like taiyaki boy will be back. x) But I’m still a little upset how Satelight is jacking up the story so much…it’s so wrong. Dx

Rurouni Kenshin-Samurai X

Ooh it’s been so long since I’ve seen this series. It’s one of those typically old long shounen series, but it feels so nostalgic watching it. I’ve watched it ever since I was little and it was the first manga ever bought (even before Naruto). So I was surprised when I was at Blockbusters and happened to run across it. I rented the movie, and I got so excited watching a show from my early days. Ahh…it wasn’t nearly as good as the series, but was still entertaining. I kept lol’ing over the shiny blood. It’s so shiny!! Not much to say since it was a few weeks back, but I liked it.

Manga

Shugo Chara! Chapter 43

Kyaa!!~ This has got to be my favorite chapter thus far…obviously. If chapter 38 to well…now hasn’t convinced people that Amuto, if Amu is with someone, is canon and the OTP, then almost nothing will. The chapter made msqueal smore than ever before. And just…kya. The rest will be under the spoiler tag. Be prepared for a smiley spam, because this chapter deserves it. And scan credits go to Futari wa Pretty Anon, thanks bunches for letting everyone use the scans!~

Anyways, great chapter. We can see the series concluding with every chapter, and I really think that Peach-Pit is handling it beautifully. Slowly everything is being solved so I have faith in PP for the ending. Anyways, looking forward to the next chapter greatly. I’m glad school will pass the time quicker, haha. Meh. I just realized I should’ve done a separate post for this considering the length thanks to the pics.

Watashi ni xx Shinasai Chapter 3

This chapter is full of Yukina pwnage yet again! Shigure just cannot win though. Gah he looked totally evil in this chapter though. But…Yukina saw it coming. And her parents…oh her parents. Lol, her parents are like polar opposites yet still totally lovey-dovey. We can see Yukina gets everything from her dad. xD And when Yukina was ready for the kiss, and writing about the first attempt, I just find the words so well put. Well, she’s a writer after all. But I totally lol’ed at the chibis and both of them blushing incredibly. X) But the ending, I felt so bad for Yukina. I really want to just hug her right there since she looks so frightened! Aww…poor Yukina. But I read some chapter 4 spoilers, and I’m totally looking forward to it being scanlated. Could we possibly get to see some romantic heat-up? X) And I want to see…well, for anyone who has read the spoilers, I want to see those ****!!

AAA Chapter 9

Ooh, an interesting chapter. I wanna kill that Maeda guy though. It just bugs me so much when he’s trying to force things onto Aoi. Gah, I hate it when guys do that. >_< But anyways, a very sweet chapter indeed. I loved all of the Hayato x Aoi  Moments. It’s just a fun light read, through the cliches and all. Lol @ Hayato’s hair though at the end of the chapter. And um…that’s it. ._. I like the octopus. xD

Arisa Chapter 7

Another great chapter. I think now we’ve pretty much gotten the drift on who the king is. And if it really is that person I am not surprised whatsoever. But I’ll be waiting for more chapters before jumping to conclusions. Because I’m sure we’re going to be in for another twist that’ll make me toss my theory out the window. That clown is creepy though. >_< Evil looking clown!! Lol, poor Tsubasa can’t bake at all. But the ending! Oh the ending makes me want to read more! I’m pretty sure I haven’t read the chapter before, and yet…I totally knew about the pool scene was in this chapter. Everything but the pool scene was new to me. Hmm…I wonder why. But I’m really pleased with the series. It’s giving me doses of everything to keep me reading. And it seems like the next chapter will give me lots of romance doses. xD

Medaka Box

I tried reading the first 2 chapters of Medaka box. And eh, I’ll need to read more. But I haven’t gotten the chance to because I’m never in private while on the computer. So when I tried to read it, and the ecchi scenes come, well…eh. I tried to ignore it, but someone notices and embarrasses me. >_< It’s not my fault~ But other than that, Medaka isn’t a bad character. Not much to say on it though, since I’ll need to read more of it.

Music

England’s Character Single

All I can say is…awesome! I just loved it! The delay was totally worth it. I love both of them in their own way. Absolutely Invincible English Gentlemen is…awesome. Noriaki Sugiyama does a great job copying the vintage British rock style in this song. I just love how it sounds and immediately get that British punk rock vibe even though it’s in Japanese. xD

And Pub&Go! is hilarious! I’ve said my thoughts on it in my previous Blossom Blabber when it was all blurry, but I’ll say it again. I love the ending when England continuously says “Bakabakabaka…” and “…AMERICA NO BAKA!!!” Tsuntsun England?

Shugo Chara!! Character Song Collection 2

Mwahaha….yes! The character song album came out! And I…love it! For all it’s…Shugo Chara-ness! xD Each song retains to their character’s personality so well, and I just love it. I downloaded it today, and tried my best to compress it into a zip file and everything, but I’m still learning the ropes. When I downloaded it (thanks to ForeverOblivion from GW!!), all I got was a bunch of random characters that didn’t make sense, so I had to retype all of the titles, artists, etc. I did it all in Romaji (hope you guys are okay with that) because it’ll be better for people without Japanese characters and it’s just easier (to identify, etc). 1. Colorful Heartbeat Song: Okay, so this is Amu’s single. It’s…upbeat, haha. I think it’s a pretty good song, although it doesn’t stand out to me when I listen to the other songs. It’s still a really good song though, but other songs kind of overshadow it for me. It’s nice but…forgettable?

2. Secret Princess: Yay!! The full version! I’ve been looking forward to the full version, and I really liked the song already, so what can I say? I loved the song! It’s just so nice to listen to and very happy and slightly uplifting. :]

3. Chiisana Hoshi ~Little Prince~: I actually really liked this song. Seriously. It’s like, really relaxing to me I guess. Sure…Tadase sounds really feminine at some parts more than others, but it’s still nice. The middle is epic though! Tadase’s king laugh…I just lol’ed so hard at that part. It’s epic. Done.

4. Itsuka wa Romansu: omgasdflkj RIMA!!! Her character song is so freakin’ cute and relaxing!! I got reminded of Yui Makino’s adorable voice when I heard it. Now I demand Sayuri Yahagi, Yui Makino, and Aki Toyosaki to sing together! Cuteness unite (because Aki Toyosaki sounds incredibly cute in Future Stream)! Anyways, I just loved it. So adorable. >_< One of my favs.

5. Ookiku Naare!: Yaya is…Yaya. I guess the song isn’t one that I care much for. It’s upbeat and everything, and pertains to Yaya’s personality well, but other than that, okay. I guess there were lots of “Ya…ya…ya…” in it. I was like, “Make it stop and just lemme hear her sing without it!!” xD But I was over exaggerating. It’s not too bad.

6. Hana Tegami: Nadeshiko/Nagihiko!! Omg it’s two in one!! xDDD One of my favorite songs in the CD. The instrumental is beautiful, but I guess I love the traditional Japanese instrumentals in modern day songs. I found that appealing in Japan’s character single as well. It’s just so pretty! I want just the instrumentals. But Saeko Chiba did very well switching back and forth. When she does Nade’s parts, I feel so relaxed, ahhh…And it sounds so mature and pretty! And Nagihiko’s is so Rhythm-ish. xD

7. Tsukiyou no Marionetto: Ikutooo!!! Who would’ve thought that he sung? xD And so hawttly (making new words up ftw~)  too? Well, it’s Ikuto’s character song, and I love it. Maybe I’m a bit biased. Bah. But it doesn’t sound much like Ikuto to me at some parts. My friend’s noted it sounded a smidge like Jun Fukuyama’s singing. But it’s still incredibly awesome. Especially when he talks *melts*. He sounds like Ikuto when he talks. And the violin is awesome as usual, and I love the solo in the middle (I think it’s violin, but I’m not sure if it’s violin or guitar, lol xD). Anyways, great song!

8. Taiyou Ga Niau Yo: And of course the Tsukiyomi siblings are together (and they both sing so awesomely awesome). ^^ I loved the song when I listened to it if you haven’t noticed already, haha. It’s very…j-popish and I like it. And very Utau-like as well. A really nice song indeed. And of course, one of my favs. Nana Mizuki can make anything awesome. We’ve already established that fact already, haven’t we?

9. Secret Princess (Amu ver.): I was a little curious on how Secret Princess would turn out with Amu singing it, and I have to say, it sounds really nice! It seems to suit her voice quite well. Anyways, very cute and I like it because, well I like Secret Princess and Amu’s singing is always nice. :]

Other Random Music Blurbs

Well, besides from those two, I also downloaded more songs for my trip. I’ll be sharing them when I can. ^^ Next week I’ll share the Miyano Mamoru album BREAK which is a pretty good album. :D I also got the Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou OP single, which is very addicting once I started liking it. And the second song in the single is very cute as well. And let’s see…I found it kind of serendipitous how awhile back I was listening to Omna Magni (you know, listening to some good ol’ Yui Makino songs), when I still read about people arguing about the language it was in. Well the composer Yoko Kanno came up somewhere and I decided to check out some of the songs she composes. And I listened and the songs were familiar (cause they are genius!! btw). It just so happens that her songs were the ones that I loved while listening to Pandora when I was working on my project. I was going to look up her songs but totally forgot by the time I was done. So it’s kind of…interesting how I sort of came back to an artist I wanted to hear more songs from many months ago…? It’s sort of like, “Who would’ve thought it’d be the exact same artist?” Okay, everyone’s probably just going, “Wtf?” at my random ramble, so gomen for that. Anyways, I also listened to Future Stream from sphere, and I have to say, I really like the song. Aki Toyosaki sounds the cutest she ever has in this song. I’d actually love to hear her sing a slower song as herself instead of the upbeat K-On! songs since I think her voice would be extremely cute like that. Then you know, I still have my wish for Yui Makino, Aki Toyosaki, Sayuri Yahagi singing together…X3 Maybe I’ll add more when I come across another cute seiyuu singing. Well, that’s it for music. It’s…random, ne?

Let’s see here…I’ve got lots of late posts coming up! Otomen is going to be the next post coming up. Only the first episode though. I’ll just skip the second episode if I decide to do episodic blogging for it. I’m also having a Sora no Manimani extremely late post for episode 4 and 5, maybe 6 as well if I end up posting it when 6 comes out. As for Umi Monogatari, as much as I want to blog it, the subs are slow, and I need to catch up, and gah…I drop it. And I went through all that trouble being determined to post about it. TT^TT I feel really bad about it though. But I’ll try my best when I have the time to do random episode posts on it so I don’t totally drop it (but don’t expect that). But it’s on my very low priority list then. And to replace Umi Monogatari, I’ll end up probably adding Hetalia Axis Powers episodic posts. They’re quicker to do and on the shorter side, so I’ll have time to do it. And I guess if I keep doing episodic posts on Otomen we can expect that to replace UM. Soo…two new series to make up for one sorta drop?

Oh, and I forgot about Fall 2009. >_< That will probably come later. And I apologize but Monthly Mania will be skipped this month. I just don’t have the time for it yet.

Hello Kitty Online Closed Beta

If anyone remembered my post on Hello Kitty Online, I mentioned that it was in closed beta. Well…good news for anyone in North America who wants to play it! There is going to be another closed beta coming soon, so if anyone wants to sign up for it, if you can, I’d suggest it. I’m pretty sure it’s open for sign up (but maybe it was just Founders, I forgot, but you can try going to the website anyways!). You can find the website here.

Thoughts on it…I’m sort of upset over the idea that we won’t be able to keep our items, but I didn’t expect it anyways. It was sort of news when I found out HKO partnered with aeria games, and now I’m kind of worried yet excited at the same time of the new changes. And the trailer that they have…meh. When I played it the actual game was nothing like it. But maybe they changed it for the new beta. Oh well, I’ll just be looking forward to it~ But now I’m confused over the new site! Gawr!! D8<

Torrents

Well if you haven’t noticed already, I’m someone who take screencaps from online streaming, hence the terrible quality of my pictures (but I found a website with better SC! video qualities!! :D). I still expect to do that, but anyways, I tried out torrents!~ And…they’re actually pretty cool. I’m still a total noOb at torrents though. But the thing I love about them is the quality. I kept going, “Uahhh!!!” over and over. xD But it takes so long, so I doubt I’ll use torrents often, only when I’m too excited to wait for online streaming. But anyways, love the quality of the videos. Oh, and since I’m such a noOb, what is seeding? That’s the one thing that confused me. My video was in the seeding status, and yet I was able to watch it…so, explainations would totally be appreciated.

School is Starting Up~

Ahh…school. School’s going to begin on the 11th for me, unfortunately. So that means…thing’s will be slower. I also have the teacher infamous for giving her massive amounts of homework. TT^TT That’s what I get for being in advanced. Oh well. Anyways, I won’t get to be a nocturnal girl anymore no more going to bed at 3. And I might slow down a bit on blogging and stuff, but I’ll try my best. I’m just warning everyone that lots of posts are expected to be delayed. Ah well…>_< We’ll see how school goes first. Wish me luck!~ (Oh and good luck to anyone with their exams and school work right now, while I’m on the subject)

Oh, and I finally attempted fanart!~ I posted them all on deviantart lol shameless promotion. It’s Sora no Manimani fanarts (for FuyuMaiden). I’m trying my best to color one of them…but I’m not done yet. When I am, I’ll post it up if it turns out at least decent. xD Cause I know it won’t turn out well, which is exactly why I will not try manga coloring. But anyways, I’m just surprised I actually tried fanart. It’s…different, for me.

Kyaaa~ I have to say that Rhythm is awesome, *fangirls over him*. Gah, I knew I’d like him from the start. One good thing that the anime does: emphasize on characters that aren’t so emphasized on in the manga. I have to admit Satelight did this well. Anyways, an enjoyable filler/main plot episode.

On blog note…TT^TT. I’m currently really busy working on both my piano and other stuff, so gah, Umi Monogatari won’t be posted again. It makes me so sad because I have stuff to say!! D:< And then watch, when I finally can, there won’t be anything left to say. At least all of the stuff I’m working on will be worth it in the end. :D

Thoughts

Lol, I soo get reminded of Amu and Rima’s experiences with their charas in this. But with Nagi it’s just so funny hearing him got “Yay!” so confidently and…un-Nagi-ish. xD

Lol Rhythm! That’s one way to get acquainted. Rhythm’s “yay” catchphrase is funny yet love at the same time. Haha, Miki’s totally digging the hug. No one can resist Rhythm’s hugs!~

Rima pinned it spot on. That’s exactly what I thought. Not much to really say. Just had to give Rima some love~

Omg, I loved this scene! Come to think of it, they really are similar. The background music was also very fitting btw. Yoru no kakkoii!!~ I don’t know why, but hearing Yoru introduce himself just seemed so cool (the way he said Yoru maybe?). They could be like, best buddy charas or something. xDD And making a handshake on the spot? Total win!

Lol, shock!~ For some reason though, I don’t feel as sorry as I should for Kiseki (I mean I do feel sorry for him, but not as much as I expected). Haha, but that’s what he gets for being so stubborn. X3

Himmm!!!! What? They’re already giving us hints from the manga with him holding the rock?But I didn’t expect Hikaru to have blonde hair with blue eyes. :/ I always imagined him with light brown hair and light brown eyes. I wonder if it was a manga coloring I saw or something, but I’ll have to get used to it I guess. He looks so cute in the anime! I want to huggle him if only he wasn’t the ebil little kid (although later he gets better, I’m totally ignoring that).

Kyaa~ Rhythm is so cool, again! Did I ever mention I love the headphones for the chara-nari? Anyways, omg that scene with him carrying Amu is total love right there. Immediately got reminded of a couple Amuto scenes, lol. Rhythm, oh you player you. But you gotta love him for that huh? Now that I think about it, I think if I had to choose someone else besides Ikuto for Amu, Nagi would probably be second to Ikuto. x) Then again, Kairi wasn’t that bad, I guess the Jacks are win, ne?

Lol, so cute!! I have no idea what they are doing though. xD But lol, running into a tree. Daichi, Yoru, and Rhythm would definitely make great buddies, they’re all so similar in personalities.

In this episode, Nagihiko shows his intelligence the most. He sounds so strategic. X) But I guess that’s the point of the episode, not to overthink things.

D’aww, how cute. Kiseki’s a tsundere chara I guess. But Rhythm’s such an awesome chara, no one can resist his charms! Anyways, found this oh-so cute because even Kiseki finally caved.

O_O So detailed! But it so fits him. But isn’t it sad to see a little kid care about that stuff? Like Amu said, shouldn’t it just matter that it tastes good when your that young? But anyways, it’s sorta sad seeing this.

(And on a taiyaki boy note, I lost the screencap and it’s too late to get it, so I’ll just say this. He was so cute when he bumped into Amu, when he stepped around a couple times and finally fell. >.< That was cute somehow. xD)

And Eru and Iru appear! Kawaii~ And it seems like Eru will also fall for Rhythm’s charms. X3 I wonder how that will turn out~

Best. Show. This. Season! Kyaa~ I love it already. I expected it to be good, but it went past my expectations! :D I just hope I don’t get disappointed later like Maria+Holic (oh yes, I’m too lazy to get the cross). But anyways, I love it. Sorry the post is late, but I was waiting for subs…that didn’t come out when I started the post. -_- Anyways, I had to get this post in before my excitement for the show begins fading with waiting. No…I don’t want that! Anyways, love it~ I even started reading the manga. :D Just saying though, it might be biased because I love the series already! XD It is probably my favorite show this season so far.

Story & Plot

The episode starts off with a flashback. Akeno Mihoshi, is a star-enthusiast, who drags Ooyagi Saku, a bookworm, everywhere she goes. This tortures him, because she always takes his books as hostage when he just wants to read. She takes him one night to look at the stars, and shows him a special necklace her dad gave her. She decides to climb up a tree, but ends up slipping, while Saku dives to catch her. Saku wakes up, realizing it is a dream, also hitting his elbow. He’s on his way to school, while his mother causes a ruckus for him tieing his ties, etc.

When he arrives at school, he sees paper stars falling from the sky. A girl from the school roof is promoting the astronomy club. Saku looks up, and realizes it’s Mihoshi, the girl who terrorized him when he was little. He says her name too loudly, and so she hears him. She realizes it’s Saku, and chases after him when he runs away. He tries to deny who she says he is, even though it’s true. After she finally catches him, her other friends save Saku. Her friend asks if Saku was a friend, and she says yes, but Saku says no. Mihoshi also asks Saku to join the astronomy club. The student council president comes and is upset by the chaos that Mihoshi caused. Afterwards, rumors start flying around about a first-year (Saku) and second-year (Mihoshi). Mihoshi continuously goes to Saku’s class to see him, only to find him each time missing. She finally finds him at the library, which scares Saku. Mihoshi asks if Saku remembers the memories they had together, even bringing out the necklace, but he says he doesn’t. She asks why he doesn’t remember the wonderful memories they had together, only angering Saku more. He tells her that they were wonderful to her, but torture to him. He even broke his arm after diving to catch her. He says that she wasn’t even there when he moved, but she rebuts saying that she was hospitalized. This leads to Saku remembering that whenever someone brought up Mihoshi, he wouldn’t listen to the rest of it. He apologizes to her, and admits that he remembers her and everything. He even joins the Astronomy Club. This makes Mihoshi happy and she dives to hug Saku once again.

Mihoshi shows Saku around the Astronomy Club’s room. Later on they begin to promote the Astronomy Club. However, it seems like they don’t have a uniform, so Mihoshi writes on Saku’s back. The club leader is willing to have his shirt written on, but he coughs up blood first. The Student Council president comes and sees that they have another member. Later on, Saku notices that she is in the Literary Club. This leads to a little blush-blush moment since Saku loves books, also causing Mihoshi to panic from the good atmosphere between them. Later on, Mihoshi explains that she wants to share the stars in the sky for everyone to see, like how her father did. This small monologue makes Saku surprised about her words. Mihoshi decides to get the binoculars to do a project with the sun. However, when the two arrive, it begins to rain. It’s later nighttime, and they are able to see the full night sky.

I don’t plan to write out summaries for all of the episodes, since I think it would just ruin my enjoyment of the series. But anyways, the story seems like a nice slice-of-life story. I sort of get that Toradora atmosphere though, but I love Toradora, so it’s okay. xD But anyways, even though it’s not the most original thing in the world, it’s still a nice storyline and is executed well. It’s just that nice, fluffy, refreshing story that just makes me happy watching it. It’s cute, fluffy, fun, and hilarious. I just love every element of it. And the astronomy part makes it nice and is actually getting me interested in astronomy. :D I guess it just clicks so perfectly with all of my tastes that I just love it (or maybe I should phrase it as, “It  hit all of the right spots”).

Characters

Ooyagi Saku:

Saku…Saku’s voiced by Tomoaki Maedo, who just does so well voicing him which I’m glad he gets a better role since he also voiced the White Album guy. Anyways, Saku is an awesome main character, and is one of those rare main guy characters that I actually like. I just love his RAGE~ and chibi-fied rage~ It’s just so fun to watch. I don’t know why, but I seem to lol whenever it shows him with a broken arm as a little kid. xD Anyways, his anger and variation just makes me like him. And then when he blushes~ Kya! It’s cute seeing his face fully red. Anyways, win! Saku gets my approval for main guy character!

Akeno Mihoshi:

Mihoshi!!!~ Meet Mihoshi, my favorite character already, who is voiced by Kanae Ito-san. In fact, she’s starting to become one of my favorite characters of all time already. I seriously should wait awhile, but reading the manga and watching it has kept my love for her going on. At first I was worried that I would only think about Amu whenever I heard Kanae Ito’s voice, but she made her voice work perfectly for Mihoshi. And her name totally fits for having “hoshi” in it. Anyways, Mihoshi is such a fun, lovable, cute character=more than awesome. Sure she’s hyperactive, but I love it. I think that’s what makes her so cute and adds to her charm. She’s hilarious, and I love all of the expressions she makes. In fact, I made a gif of some of them. But it sucks. xD So no showing. X) But anyways, I just love her already! Her glomps on Saku are win! Not much to elaborate on her, but like Saku, she is win~ I already made her my icon! xD

Others:

Gah, I forgot everyone else’s name. xD Lol, the guy who coughs up blood a lot is hilarious. I like him, he’s just so funny (like most of the characters), especially in that scene when he was ready to write on his back, but then suddenly coughs up blood and faints. xD It’s hilarious (but my explanation may not make it sound so). But I like him so far. The other girl with blue hair is also cool, since she seems to mediate Mihoshi’s hyperactive-ness. She also seems like the mature one out of the group. x) Saku’s mom is also fun to watch, since she acts oh-so melodramatic. xD Eh, the student council president is the only person I’m iffy on. I just don’t like her because she wants the astronomy club to fail or something. And also because she’s getting in the way of Saku x Mihoshi! Gar! But does anyone else think she has a big forehead?

Overall, so far I find the main characters lovable, and the main two are just…great! I just love them! Again, I think the chemistry and everything between the characters is my favorite part about the show. They make the show stand out from the rest of the other shows. So yes, love the characters! More characters are going to be introduced later though, but so far, loving most of the characters!

Music

OP: Super Noisy Nova by sphere

The opening was an okay I guess. :/ I didn’t find it spectacular, but just normal. The scenes are cute, just like a typical opening. I loved the Saku x Mihoshi shots. It’s just…cute! Especially when they were little, that was a great scene. For once Saku actually looked like he was interested when he was little. The group shots are cute when they were all lying down looking at the stars. But the animation for the opening totally fits, and so I guess it’s fine.

The song was okay. It wasn’t that catchy, but again, it fits. The title is kind of funny though. xD But not much to say on it. I guess it’s a typical, sort of upbeat song.

ED: Hoshikuzu no Surround by CooRie

I don’t know why, but I guess I really find the ending song appealing. I guess it’s one of those songs that I just find surprisingly nice and again, hits the spot. The song fits with the show well, and I just love the tune of it. I liked how the song was inserted into the episode, but I’m kind of hoping for the official ending (so I don’t have talking). But again, I really like the ending song much more compared to the opening song. I guess it’s sort of a relaxed, nice feel to it?

Animation

The animation was average. It wasn’t special, but I guess it “fits” the show’s style. It’s average. Nothing outstanding. I guess the stars and the paper stars look really pretty though. But everything else…meh. But it’s decent and livable. I mean, I am so glad that we did not get some CG thing or something. That’s not livable. But anyways, onto Sora no Manimani. The chibis were animated well, which makes me glad. I’m able to look at it, and it’s simplicity makes it at least nice. It doesn’t repulse me, so we’re good. :]

Preview

Looks like we’ll be introducing the next character. I forgot her name from the manga. x_x But I remember not liking her that much, even though she’s pretty. Ah well, I might like her later on. Anyways, it still looks interesting, especially since we’re still going to get some of Mihoshi’s awesome expressions. XD Yay! Anyways, the preview’s pretty short, but I’m still looking forward to the next episode. :D
