Since I rarely have the time to do a full Blossom Blabber anymore, I decided to move the News Blurbs into a whole new post, when the news is still recent. I mean…I think it’s more reasonable to be talking about the news when it’s still…news. ^^” I think I already said awhile back that I’d do a news blurb post, but I guess I never got to it. But I guess News Blurb posts are mainly filler posts when I don’t have enough time to do a full post. Also, I forgot to mention that news blurbs can be about, well, any type of news. >_> So here’s the first (short) news blurbs!

It includes the The Wallflower drama, Bungaku Shoujo trailer, TokiKake teaser, Kobato’s First DVD, and Liar Game Movie. :D

The Wallflower Live Action

Well, it’s finally happened!~ The Wallflower has been adapted into a live action, starting January. More news about it will be released in upcoming Bessatsu Friend issues. The Wallflower summary:

Takano Kyohei, Oda Takenaga, Toyama, Yukinojo, and Morii Ranmaru are going to rent a house to go to school for free on the condition that they make the girl of the house a “lady”. However, Nakahara Sunako, the girl living there, is gloomy, weird, and horror movie maniac. She has a trauma of when she was told ugly by the boy whom she loved when she was in junior high school. She doesn’t like beautiful things and gets a nosebleed when she looks at something beautiful. -MAL

Squee!~ *runs around in many circles* I remember The Wallflower, and it was a pretty good series, even though lots of it was random, and aimless, and had no development. >_>  Now I made it sound bad. Unfortunately, the videos got removed before I was able to finish them. Dx Anyways, I’m still really glad it got adapted as a live action. I think a drama would better suit the series and make it much better. I’m also really glad to see it as a drama so that I won’t get distracted and irritated by the ugly animation like the anime. And less creepy eyelashes and less chibis. xD I love chibis, but The Wallflower over uses them. Let’s just hope they don’t overuse the jokes though, since I could imagine that happening. Anyways, I’m really excited for the series and waiting to find out more!

Bungaku Shoujo Trailer

The Bungaku Shoujo trailer got streamed~ I haven’t heard of Bungaku Shoujo until now, but it captured my attention somehow. The animation looks pretty, and the synopsis sounds a smidge peculiar, but still really interesting. The summary is as follows:

The protagonist of the story, Konoha Inoue, is a seemingly normal senior high 2nd year student. His high school life, other than a hinted incident 2 years ago, can be summed up as normal- if one can dismissed the secret fact that he used to be a female bestselling romance author. Due to that incident, however, he has now vowed never to write again.

This continued on until he was forced to join the literary club by the literary club president, the 3rd year female student Amano Tooko, a beautiful girl who has a taste [for] eating literary works. Now he has been tasked to write her snack every day after school. -MAL

The character designs look really nice, and it’s Production I.G., so it keeps looking better. It seems like Production I.G. is again doing the water-colored sort of effect going on. Anyhow seems unique, but still interesting, so I’ll still be checking it out. :D The girl seems quite scary though. O.o A monster…>_>

Liar Game Movie

As mentioned in my Blossom Blabber post, I’ve become a fan of the Liar Game drama, even though I haven’t finished the first season. x_x” Anyways, the second season came out on the 10th, so just a few days ago why does everything have to be on Tuesdays?! And it’s been announced that the movie will come out as well (awhile back)!~ The movie which should finally conclude the drama is planned to be set after the end of the second season (and the teaser says March 6, 2010). The summary of Liar Game is:

Kanzaki Nao, an honest college student, who receives a hundred million yen one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the “Liar Game”. The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million yen. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million yen in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help. -MAL

*Hops for joy!* Yay~ I’m so glad that they’re having a movie to finish off the series. Even though barely anything is shown in the teaser, it looks good~ *A* It’s so far away from now, but I’m still pretty excited. Then again, I think I should first get through the 2 seasons. >_>

Kobato’s First DVD

I honestly think I should just quote Anime News Network. There’s going to be a limited DVD edition where there are…a ton of stuff. It includes the first two episodes (as do both regular and limited), the mini Flash animation, CLAMP-illustrated box, name tag in Kobato’s signature dove icon, DVD jacket, special page, liner notes, and a mail-in offer form. The regular DVD edition just has the episodes, DVD jacket, liner notes, and mail-in offer form. However, it may be subject to change in the future. Summary of Kobato is:

Kobato is sweet and perky girl, but also extremely naive about the world around her. She has a “mission”, which is to fill a mysterious bottle of hers with the suffering from people’s hearts so her wish to go a certain place that she desires to go can be granted. However, she must not fall in love with a particular boy she works with and whose heart she must heal. -MAL

So to start off, WOW. That’s…a lot of stuff. They pack those DVDs well. If only the U.S. could pack all this stuff like that! I’m anticipating the flash animation though. It seems pretty cute. ^^ I mean, chibi Kobato is already cute enough, so the mini animation could be even more…chibi-fied? xD I wish I could get the DVDs, but I can’t wait to see some of the stuff anyways.

TokiKake Teaser

The teaser for the live-action TokiKake, aka The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, has been posted up. It’s planned on being released on March of 2009. However, it seems like the movie is about the original girl’s daughter (thanks Kiseki for pointing that out, since I didn’t notice it), even though the title is still the same. O.o

*O* Omg! TokiKake has been on my plan to watch for months already, so I’m glad there’s news on it. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to watch it, especially since I’ve been meaning to. With a movie coming out, I think there’s  a higher possibility of me finally watching it. It looks so good right now! I loved the clock effect as well. The only complaint I’d have is the guy. He has a funny look to him. Despite of this, I’m still really excited to see how the TokiKake movie turns out. The teaser already makes it look so good! >w<

Kimi ni Todoke: Episode 4

Aww, a quite sad, maybe bittersweet, episode. It has kept me on a ride of emotions, and I just love how the anime handles each part exquisitely. I loved the beginning though, especially starting it off with the Pin and Kazehaya conversation and adorable Kazehaya blushing. I started giggling like mad when they both looked at each other (lol @ exposed forehead). Ahhh~ Kazehaya is still as awesome as ever~! Unfortunately, the cliche of only hearing half the conversation takes into effect, resulting in a series of HUGE misunderstandings. It’s really sad, making me hope for it to be all cleared soon. Sigh…if only Sawako would say her point faster, or not make things sound negative when they really aren’t. But luckily, it seems that the next episode will have Kazehaya grabbing Sawako’s hand~ So it seems like things will be cleared up soon~!

Yumeiro Patissiere: Episodes 2-4

I caught up to episode 4…even though episode 5 is out, I don’t plan on watching it raw. Anyways, I have to say that I’m enjoy the show in all it’s shoujo cliche-ness. I think that’s what I like about this series… Watching the usual jerk-ish guy and the clumsy girl… xDD

One thing that makes me lol though is the voices. I really do like their seiyuus, but they’re voices seem a little old for them, especially Kashino. His voice is really deep for a middle schooler (middle school, right?). I just can’t help but lawl because their voices just don’t match their height either. Also, theirs heads at some point are disproportionate to the rest of their bodies.

For one though, Hanabusa makes me want to puke sometimes. xDD The too nice guy thing…and to top it off he’s narcissistic. xDD Even though Kashino is a jerk sometimes, I still like him because I’m sure it’s like the cliche’d jerk. xDD And I really want to pair him up with Ichigo now that I’ve seen him in the anime. Lastly, Ichigo hasn’t failed to make me dislike her because she’s just like the shoujo heroine. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a classic shoujo that I like it.

Now…off to watch episode 5 nonetheless because it’s Kashino~!

Kobato: Episode 4

Ahh, a pretty good episode. This time, we are officially introduced to Kohaku. The anime portrays Kohaku as a female I guess, since Kohaku is given a very feminine voice. Anyways, I’m pretty glad that I haven’t read the manga, so I don’t have very high expectations, nor am I disappointed so far. Everything seems to flow pretty well in the anime, although I’d like to see a few more hints of romance between Fujimoto and Kobato. There’s…barely anything. Although the ticket scene was quite cute~ And, let’s see, the Kohaku and Shuichiro scenes were quite cute to watch. :D Although it makes me think the Kohaku should be a girl even more…

Drama

Liar Game

Well, I decided to check out the show after hearing much about it from everyone (friends in RL and online). I have to say that I’m enjoying the series very much so far~ Especially since there’s the same actress from Nobuta wa Produce (forgot her name…to lazy to look), and the actor from Hana Yori Dango (forgot his name too). So when I immediately recognized them, I got even more excited to watch the series. I have to say that I love the psychological part of it, and it makes me think! Watching shows like this is always a nice change of routine for me; thus, I enjoy it much more.

I have to say that Akiyama is my favorite character. What can I say? He’s full of win, pwn, and awesome-ness~ Who cares if he’s a swindler? xDD Sometimes I want to hit my head when watching Nao though. Let’s see, and Fukunaga is creepy, period.

Ahh, I really need to finish this series~

Music~! I’ve been listening to tons of new (well, not really “new” but new to me) music than usual. But I guess that came from my Hana Kimi obsession, since most of the actors are singers, and I wanted to check out their songs. So lots of the music featured in this issue will be Taiwanese music (and a bit of American)~

It’s kind of old news on twitter, but ahh, I’ve been so into Fahrenheit, S.H.E., and Danson Tang semi-recently. The song that I’m most addicted to though, is Qing Bao by Danson Tang. I keep replaying it over and over and over again. xDD I just love the catchiness of the song. The only problem is that the rest of his songs aren’t as fast as that one. The only other one I’ve listened to that I liked was Ai Wo. And if my Chinese is correct it means “love me” which sounds a bit conceited, lawl. Other than that, another catchy song.

As for S.H.E., I really like them now. My favorite member is Ella, I just absolutely love her voice. It’s so pretty!~ All of them sound great together, but her voice is so surprising. I definitely did not expect that. Anyways, so far, it’s hard to figure out my favorite song, so I’ll simply say Zhong Guo Hua, Ring Ring Ring, and Just Be Yourself for my top 3. Even though it’s surprising yet pretty dizzy to hear some rapping in Zhong Guo Hua, it’s incredibly catchy to me! Same goes for Ring Ring Ring on being catchy. And Just Be Yourself is song that I love listening to to cheer up. :D

Other Taiwanese music blurbs include…Confession by Elva Hsiao. The beginning in the PV is so corny and soo weird, and even though I’m not a big fan of Elva Hsiao, Confession just has a catchy chorus (I overuse that reason way too much) to it. Lots of English in it, but it fits the song I guess. I think the reason I got into this song was watching Ella dance to it in bloopers. xDD Hilarious dance btw. Not into the whole lyrics or PV though…>.> Another blurb is R. (A.?) Chord’s songs. Specifically, Ni Ceng Jing Rang Wo Xin Dong. Wahh, that’s a mouth full. It’s such a relaxing song. Another person from Hana Kimi (spirit guy!~), with another surprising voice. I love just listening to it, because I want to go to sleep afterwards…lol. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, I put both R. and A. because I seriously don’t know what to call him. R. Chord or A. Chord? Or his real name? O.o

And random music blurbs go here. Let’s see, Taeyang from Big Bang has released his solo Where You At. Pretty nice MV and song. I love the transition between black and white. Overall, a pretty nice song, and I love the choreography. Also, Hamburger Street preview~ It’s full of win~! xDD It’s so dumb it’s addicting, haha. After hearing America’s, I decided to listen to France’s. O.o The second song sounds so wrong. x_x Anywho…I was looking around for more Bodyslam songs, and I found Believe. I’m weak for corny inspirational songs (it’s a song about picking yourself up when you fall), especially with a nice tune, so I really like this song. Especially since I’ve been so stressed from school, and it helps me feel so much better. :D And lastly, I came across one of my favorite English covers…ever. It’s just soo pro and good, ah! I was so surprised when I heard it. When I saw the perosn, I was expecting some random stuff, but it was actually really good. It’s an English cover of Heartbreaker by G-Dragon. Don’t let looks fool you.

Well, as in plain sight, I haven’t been updating much. I’ve already explained that before. I’m on an unofficial break. I still am. However, I have a feeling that I’ll soon get more freetime. Pretty much, the thing that was keeping me down is now over. I still have other things, but that’ll make things a lot easier now. Eden of the East: King of Eden Trailer 2

The Eden of the East first movie King of Eden’s second trailer was released yesterday. I have to say that it is really good, and I want to watch the movie. Soo badly! What happened to Akira? The thing that made me a happy fangirl though, was the part when he’s holding her hand, just like the beginning. It seems that even if he’s forgotten who she is, he’s still drawn to her and will always find her. I was sad though to be reminded that he erased his memories. Ahh, it looks so good. But….why must it be pushed back to December?! I’ll continuously remind myself that it’ll be worth the wait, but I seriously want to see it NAO. xDD *impatient fangirl* Oh and here’s the trailer:

Winter 09/10

Seems like the chart already came out for the Winter anime season. I’m pretty disappointed. There isn’t something that I’m straight out excited for, but there are quite a few that caught my eye. It seems like a decent season though. :DD Who knows, maybe there’s something really good hidden there. I haven’t looked at the chart too closely, so I can’t be too judgmental yet. Seems like Drrr! (however many R’s there are), Okamikakushi, and Dance in the Vampire Bund will be there. So-Ra-No-Wo-To looks like some K-On! rip-off though. x_x

Halloween

(RL ramble) First of all, Happy (late) Halloween!~ Ahh, Halloween on a Saturday is much better for me. Anyways, I hope everyone had a fun Halloween~ I did, since I experienced my first ever trick-or-treating (even though I feel too old to go trick-or-treating, but my shortness makes me feel less so)…I know, shock~ Well, my family isn’t into trick-or-treating so I never did it as a kid until now as a teen my friends started getting me into it. Soo…>.> Feel free to shoot me for being so late into it.

My poor (cruel on Halloween) brother was deprived of his much-wanted experience of robbing children of their candy (pretending to get some from his bag and then dumping it in without any real candy xDD). Anddd…..let’s see. My first ever experience was pretty fun. I lawl’ed at the haunted house, because the guy tried scaring us out in front and I just stared straight-faced. xDD Only one friend actually wanted to go, so I was just dragged in because no one else wanted to. But we never entered it because the guy in the wrinkly mask made us want to turn around and leave. Afterwards, we were told it was a couples thing. O.o Oh! Also, favorite reaction trick-or-treating: the guy at the door simply saying, “Holy--” looking at how many people were at his door.

Soo…yup. It was actually a fun Halloween. :D And no need to explain what my costume was, cause it was lame.

Fundraising

Soon…soon….I’ll have an online store. Then I’ll announce it. For now, I guess I could ask everyone ways I could fund-raise. It’s not possible for me to get a job, so I need to be able to sell things, mainly. So suggestions would be much appreciated! Oh, and I need to include what it’s for. All in all, it’s for tuition for a leadership conference I was invited to go to. I’d like to go, but it’s really expensive, so I need to earn most of the money myself. But I guess I’ll explain more when the full post arrives on it. For now, I’m just asking for suggestions on how I could raise money. :D

Mandarin

I’m going to try to learn Mandarin!! >:D Well…I won’t be able to learn fluently without taking a class most likely, but I’ll learn as much as I can. At least…the basics. I’m pretty tired of saying that I’m Chinese and can’t speak it, y’know? Especially since I’ve been pressured for awhile to learn. Ever since I started, I’ve been so thankful of Thai though. xD With Thai’s 40+ consonants and 20+ vowels, it’s a smidge easier to replicate sounds. xDD And I’m thankful of having a parent to turn to. Only problem is, is that they speak a different dialect, and only my mom can speak some Mandarin (isn’t her native though). *Sigh* I have a long way to go. Pinyin is pretty hard for me though, since I have to hear to replicate the sound. Reading it is a whole lot harder to get the pronunciation correct. Soo, I’ll be off to learn Pinyin then Chinese soon!~

Yup, part one since I haven’t had the time to watch everything yet. So just the first impressions on the few shows that I watched. I apologize that it’s late, but who didn’t expect it? So this quick blurb first impression post will include Kobato, Kimi ni Todoke, The Sacred Blacksmith, Yumeiro Patissiere, and Nyan Koi!

Kobato

Kyaaa!!!~~ I was so excited to watch Kobato, and the series has not failed me yet! So far, I’m loving it. It’s just so insanely cute. There’s also some humor in it as well. I find the animation a really good adaptation from a manga to an anime. I’m just enjoying the light-heartedness and cuteness to make me relax while watching it. =u=

Kobato is just love~ She has such an angelic voice, as expected with her seiyuu. I think my favorite thing about Kobato is her innocence. It just is what makes the series so cute and fun~ Ioryogi is an awesome mascot, haha. And, Fujimoto is an awesome guy protagonist as well. He’s just so cool, and had a huge grin after seeing him save Kobato. ^^” I am so shipping them together!~ Huhuhu~~

Also, I LOVE the music. It reminds me of the good ol’ classic CLAMP days~ I got reminded of CCS music a bit. :D Probably because of how cheerful and cute it is. Maaya Sakamoto is absolute win, so is Megumi Nakajima. I just love the music. It fits the series so well, and…yes. Love it. x)

Kimi ni Todoke

D’awww, probably my other favorite show of the season (tied with Kobato). Kimi ni Todoke is just such a sweet and adorable series, I just can’t help but giggle with the shipping and fangirl over everything. xD The animation is beautiful, especially with the watercolor-esque background. I just love watching it so far for the shipping and how sweet it is. The story is just so heartwarming and fluffy, and…I can’t wait for more of it.

Sawako is such a sweet heroine. She’s just so lovable. It’s pretty sad how she’s just trying to make friends but everyone runs away from her. Tbh, I don’t think she’s scary at all. In fact, I think she’s quite pretty. :] She’s also so cute as a chibi, and when she’s so happy I feel like I want to be happy too. xDD And, Kazehaya!~ He is just filled with so much man-moe it’s adorable. He’s one of the honestly nice bishies that I love. He’s just so shy and cute! >w< They’re chemistry is also just soo warm to watch I guess. ^^” Definitely sweetest OTP for the season (or maybe overall).

The music…is decent. ^^ The opening is pretty good, and I enjoy it. It’s quite relaxing to listen to as well. Now the ending music was okay. I can’t say I’m totally into the singer’s voice, because tbh it can get slightly annoying…don’t shoot me!. But the animation is pretty, especially with the flower.

The Sacred Blacksmith

Hmm….a pretty decent series so far. The action is quite generic, so it isn’t totally exciting. But I think I’m enjoying it for the same reason everybody else is–the shipping and interactions with Luke and Cecily!~ Overall, I think I’ll follow it if I can, since I want to see more of how their relationship will develop.

Cecily is a pretty…average tsundere protagonist to me. She isn’t bad, especially since her seiyuu is the same as Ayano from Kaze no Stigma lol at seiyuu bias. The only thing that really irks me is that she wears out her family name….a lot. And she does barely anything except talk. But I have a feeling like all characters, she’ll develop and improve later. At least, let’s just hope. Oh and lol at her breastplates, they’re so unreal. Luke~! My favorite character in the series. Luke is just made of absolute win~ He’s so cool, and the pretty tsun-tsun guy but in a totally awesome way. xDD I just wish his character design was as good as the manga. After seeing it, I’m like, “They killed him!” in the anime. But it isn’t that bad. It’s probably just his eyes. xDD Lisa is also a cute loli. So cool with the forging and everything~

The opening, Justice of Light, is a pretty average shounen-like opening. It’s just pretty decent to me. :/ The ending is totally cute with Lisa. xDD As expected of Aki Toyosaki singing–a totally cute singing. I love Aki Toyosaki, so yay for more of her singing~ :D

Yumeiro Patissiere

Such a cute series!~ It’s totally aimed for a young audience, but I don’t care! I like the series because it reminds me of what classic shoujo is about. Raise your hand if it reminds you of your childhood shoujo!~ It has all of those cliche shoujo elements that I like it. xDD I miss having series like those nowadays, so just having a fluffy show like this makes me happy. I mean, seriously, it even has that time thing in the corner like those classic shows. XD All of it…just all of it, reminds me of the old cute fluffy shoujo that just makes you happy and smile. ^^It’s a lot like Kitchen Princess, but hey, I love that series, so I can like this series too, no?

The main character, Ichigo, is a pretty cute character so far who looks like Mitsuki. She’s obviously infatuated with food. xDD She’s a clumsy, like a typical shoujo heroine, but still cute. So far, I find her likable, but there’s nothing much to say after that.

The music is so…classic shoujo!! >w< So I really do like the opening and ending. I just feel a sense of nostalgia listening to it, aha…The animation for the opening and ending are also really cute, especially with the fairies.

Nyan Koi!

Lol, I’ve tried to watch this series like 3 times, but I haven’t been able to finish it until now. It’s like I was meant not to finish the first episode, haha. Anyways, a pretty enjoyable show so far. It has nice humor, although the animation is quite funny at times. Like, the head isn’t shaped right sometimes. So far, a pretty fun series–but mainly for the adorably cute cats.

The main guy is pretty decent…pretty average. Lawl at him with his cat allergies though. Poor guy is stuck in such a bizarre crisis. xD And, lawl at Mizuno’s interest in yakusa comics. ^^ She’s a pretty cute character, even though I don’t think her voice fits her entirely. And the old man is funny….and weird. O.o

Overall…I hope to blog either Kobato or Kimi ni Todoke…or both! I’m not sure though. I guess we’ll all find out once I actually get an episodic post out. xDD Anyways, this was a quick post since I have to hurry onto my schedule. Til next time~!
