Gahh this pains me to say this so much. It truly does. But as you’ve all probably already noticed. I’ve been struggling to keep this blog up, and now, I think this is goodbye from this blog…

But I don’t want this to be a true farewell, since I won’t be COMPLETELY leaving. ^^

Where to start? I have to clear this up: I love blogging and writing. I still love anime and manga as well. However, it seems that time and life got the upper hand. To be honest, it’s both that screen capping and writing really does take so much of my time. I remember when I used to blog I’d stay til midnight finishing up a post on a school night, just because I was so enthusiastic to finish. Now though, I have even more stuff on my plate, due to the new school year. I’ve been using this excuse over and over again, and I really do apologize for it. I tried my best to tell myself that I’d come back. It was just this time. That’s what I tried reassuring on this blog. However, it’s been months, and I don’t think it’s going to end. Since I’m starting high school (first time I reveal it XD), I need to adjust myself accordingly. I have to also start studying extra hard for P/SATs and volunteer work. I have terrible time management, and I’m trying to fix it, but even then I expect to be busy because once I get more time, I’ll be spending it IRL volunteering and writing my own things (working on practice novels).

Another thing is that although I DO still love anime and manga, it seems like the k-pop world is getting a lot more love recently. It’s just that it a faster kind of hobby, everything is a lot more quicker, and it just goes by more and is more exciting. News comes a lot more, and things don’t go by seasons. Also recently, there haven’t been that many anime that have really gotten my attention as much as Shugo Chara did. Now that I gave up on it and it recently ended (Encore ending was alright, btw–satisfying, but could’ve ended better), there’s really not another show that I’m driven to blog as much. The seasons are just getting okay. I do enjoy watching shows during the weekends and still do watch a few, but not enough to blog decent posts. I also seem to enjoy them more by just watching, rather than having to know that I have to write good thoughts on it later. These shows nowadays, I have no thoughts besides really quick thoughts I just tweet. Not like Shugo Chara where there were tons of stuff for me to capture on. That’s just me. :/ If there are stuff, it’s just one or two scenes. I know I just contradicted myself, but just know that even though I said that I do enjoy blogging still. Manga on the other hand, is also getting harder for me since onemanga closed, and other manga sites are being targeted soon. I was kind of banned from going on manga websites on this computer anyways since that virus awhile back. I could only go on my uncle’s computer, and I barely see him anymore.

That brings me to another thing–bandwidth. Just a quick note, I never moved to GoDaddy…I didn’t see my uncle long enough to. He’s also been tired every time I see him–his new job runs him all over SoCal I guess.

Just so you guys know, like I said before, I LOVE~ this blog. When I started, my (very typical Asian) parents wouldn’t really let me go outside and do much. I know, I sound anti-social, but I had friends–I just wasn’t allowed to hang out with them outside of school. -.-” I also love the computer and experimenting with new things. Blogging became my obsession. I got to enter a great blogosphere with kind. helpful, and supportive people. Comments were the most wonderful fun things for me to read. Just so you guys know, I treasured every comment very dearly (hope I don’t sound creepy, but just saying they mean a lot). The first thing I’d do when I got home was check for some. I’d get a big grin from any comment I got–mostly though, from my regular commentors. ^^ Just like my 1st year celebration, thank you everyone for supporting this blog and commenting. It means a lot to me.

Just because the blog is closing, doesn’t mean I’ll leave completely though! I won’t be able to have the time to blog, but that doesn’t mean you can’t follow me on twitter where I’ll be talking about anime still. I’ve been writing about k-pop in there, but I’m making a new account for k-pop so all my anime friends don’t have to read about my rants on k-pop and just hear about me and anime/manga.  Follow my anime account here: blossomgirl101. It’s easier and more fun for me to comment for some reason. :D Then again though, I can’t promise to do that either.

miss A is a new girl group from JYP, and I really do think they have tons of potential. I really like their debut song, it’s unique. It’s not like the usual autotune, synth, etc. I love how they showcase their voices (since that’s important in debuts) and they’re pretty talented. I also admire how they’re fierce, not like the usual cutesy girl groups. :D Oh, and I love Min’s hair. XDD I know I just talked about what I like about them…oh well.

Oh my goodness. The most addicting debut song I’ve heard yet. I love this song~ It’s so catchy and addicting. They are also quite unique. Lots of people are saying that they’re Michael Jackson influenced, what do you guys think? I can see what they’re saying, but it’s a good thing. ^^ I love the dance in this song as well, and…yeah. That’s all I have to say. XDD

Teen Top -- Clap Clap

Another nice song. The song itself is very 2PM-esque. XDD The group however, besides perhaps Cap, is far from 2PM. One thing that’s unique about this group is their age. They’re in the 15-18 years old range, so they’re super young. You can hear it in the lead vocal’s voice. But that brings one problem--the fact that they rely on one person’s voice in the majority of the song. Later I hope I get to see more of the rest of the vocals. For being so young and so new though, I think they’re doing very well. :D LOL. Cap is an Asian Taylor Lautner.

Orange Caramel -- Magic Girl

Ahh anime cutesy shoujo fans! This is definitely a song for you guys to check out. Orange Caramel is actually a sub-unit of After School, and obviously, they cover very cutesy, pop-ish songs. They’re debut song is Magic Girl, and it has a very anime/Japanese group style to it. It’s definitely cute, maybe to the point of being over cute. It’s a love/hate song, really. And apparently sound’s like C-ute’s Hare no Platinum Dori.

Ah~ A very different song when I first heard it. I wasn’t sure if I liked it, but the more I heard it, the more I liked it.  No one can resist T.O.P.’s gaze! ;D Pretty much the MV is full of him gazing into the camera and girls surrounding him, but hey~ his gaze is pretty awesome. I love the monochrome too. T.O.P. just makes it work.

So unless you love to look at a shirtless Taeyang singing for 2 minutes straight, I’d watch the Dance vers. Not that it’s not a bad thing looking, it’s just I get a little bored blasphemy!. Anyways, ah~ I Need a Girl is so mellow and relaxing. It’s quite repetitive, but I love the melody so it’s nice. I have to say I absolutely LOVE Dara’s hair in this. XD Overall, both MVs are nice, but mediocre in my opinion. The dance is less complicated, but I guess it’s mostly for girls to fangirl over Taeyang and his bod (and to me, his smile), haha. And if he needs a girl, believe me, there are TONS who are willing to be his. XD

4Minute -- I My Me Mine

*AAAA* This song is so addicting and catchy. I love the bits of techno feel. It really gets stuck in my head. Then again, this IS 4Minute, so this is quite expected. ^^ Very catchy beats, vibrant lights, cool-ness, it’s all very 4minute.. XD The only thing that bothers me in the MV that always has bothered me about 4Minute is the fact that Hyunah (the blonde) has to wear such skimpy outfits. It’s almost nothing! The main reason it bothers me? She’s one of the youngest in 4Minute. >.< I understand the sexy concept she’s always had…but I don’t know…

Super Junior -- No Other

I don’t think Super Junior ever left, but they came out with a new MV No Other. It seems like this greatly contrasts the previous song they released. It’s a lot more happier and mellower than Bonamana and fun to listen to. I still prefer Bonamana, but this song is nice too. ^^ It reminds me a lot of the usual boy band kind of thing. Ah~ But the MV is so adorable, I must admit. ^^

Jay Park -- Nothin’ On You

Okay, so this isn’t exactly k-pop, but it is a Korean cover of Nothin’ on You. ^^ In case you guys don’t know about Jay Park, he was the leader of 2PM who was in a scandal and left Korea. He eventually came back into entertainment, starting with America, and is eventually going back into k-pop solo. ^^ So Anyways, yep. I think the music video is a bit more low quality, but it’s okay. I’m sure that many fangirls are pleased to be able to see all those shots of him. 8DD It’s a short MV, I wish he would’ve done the whole song.

SHINee -- Lucifer

I am going to be very, very biased here. KYAA~ It’s been awhile since I’ve seen SHINee, and they’re come back is EPIC. *AAA* This song/MV is so addicting, I can’t stop watching it, haha. XDD The concept photos were pretty iffy, but geez, the MV is epic. I LOVE it. <3 Their choreography is so cool~ ^^ My favorite part is 1:45 -- 1:49. It’s so cool. XD

Lots of people are not liking the song just because it’s called Lucifer. Honestly, they shouldn’t be judging a song by the title, they should judge it by the SONG. I personally don’t mind it because I’m Buddhist, lol. XD

Let’s see…Taemin!! He’s looks so grown up in here! (He’s the long hair guy, the only guy to work it well) He looks kind of pretty, haha. XD But wow, at the same time a lot more manlier. I really pay attention to his dancing now. ^^ Key also looks awesome, even with his hairstyle. Key is the only one who can pull it off. ^^ Ah, everyone else looks a lot better too, I’m relieved. ^^ Again, Onew is the only one who can pull of that hairstyle too.

SMTown is a tour that goes to Korea, China, Japan, and Los Angeles featuring practically all of the SM Entertainment’s artists. It has some of my favorite groups, like Super Junior and f(x). ^^ It’s on Sept. 4th at the Staples Center, and the tickets go on sale July 24th. ^^ Anyone who wants more info just go to this page.

Anyways…I live near LA area and am hoping to go. My mom said I could go, but now she’s unsure due to money issues. I’m just asking to buy the $40 seats…the cheapest ones. But anyways, yeah. It’s a  60% chance I can go, so let’s hope for the best! My friend even asked to buy the $180 together with her in bulk, but alas, I had to reject that too. But if I can just go, I’ll be happy. ^^ Like we said at the Korean Music Festival, just knowing that they’re within one mile of you is satisfying enough. XDD (Yeah…I got back seats too. u_u). Yup, I’m ACTUALLY late this time. lots of show already started today, but I had a really busy week and V2 just came out. >_< And, I was hoping for some better shows so I could actually look forward to something. Err…there’s nothing to look forward to tbh. So yes, the summer season is pretty bland, and I am not excited for any shows whatsoever…to be blunt. So, since I’m late, and not really excited, I really am not in the mood to do a real post for the summer season. Hence, this lazy, very short version. >_<

Upcoming Shows

To be honest I don’t think there are going to be any shows that I’ll most likely stick to til the end, but I’m willing to give several shows a shot by checking out the first episodes.

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi is one of the shows I’m willing to try out. It looks pretty interesting the more I look at it. Like everyone else said, the main lead looks like an older Taiga. xDD That was the reason it caught my eye, but the premise itself look’s decent enough to try out. I’m not too sure how the male lead is going to work out, but I guess I’ll have to check it out to see…

And…Kanae Ito is voicing such a cute character!! I have to see that. :DD I mean…Kanae Ito!! xDD Her character kinda looks like a mini Minorin too, so that’s a plus. ^o^

Shiki also initially caught my eye since Gackt is voicing, but after looking at the premise, it also sounds interesting. :DD It just sounds pretty mysterious and thrilling. XD I’m not sure how long I will likely watch it, but I’m going to at least check it out.

Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu OVA looked interesting initially, but now I’m not really sure…I thought I’d look forward to it, but after looking at reviews for the manga, I have lots of doubts. But as I read more responses, it seems like it’s a love/hate kind of show. And it is still a typical shoujo, but who knows. X) It’s only an OVA so it won’t hurt to check it out.

Let’s see, another show I’ll most likely check out is…Kuroshitsuji 2 just because I kind of want to see how they’ll make it work. :/

Oh, and just a random blurb, CatShit One is a LOL title. xD

So what’s the plan?

I’m probably going to stick to watching my KwMS! weekly.  It’s the only show I’m still following with my hectic schedule. >_<” After checking out Ookami-san, I might end up watching it weekly as well though. I just have to watch a few more episodes to know. I really want to catch up on Hakuouki, and finish up Durarara!! I also want to catch up on Arakawa Under the Bridge, and Working!!, but I really don’t think any of this is happening unless I miraculously finish my homework faster. xDD

Nothing really is being blogged at the moment since summer is even more hectic than school for me right now. “orz I planned too much into my summer. I still have to open up my little online store, which, I’ve already started working on. Also, the summer season really isn’t worth blogging, so that works out…? XDD

But is it just me or does this remind me A LOT of a cliche boy group sound? Not that it’s bad, but I got reminded of the old boy groups in America--then again, I was just listening to N-Sync a few days ago…from my brother’s friends. >_>”

Super Junior: Bonamana

I think most people have heard about Bonamana--after all, it was a trending topic on twitter and just plain popular. X) I can’t stop loving it though, I have bias towards Super Junior. I think they’re my favorite boy group. That aside though, the MV itself is rather…plain? There’s only three settings, but the dancing totally makes up for it.

Soo…Sistar is a new group, and this is their debut song. For a debut song, it’s decent. It can be pretty catchy, but it just doesn’t stand out to me. Lots of it reminds me of 2ne1 and f(x), like what most people are saying. Not that it’s totally bad, since I like those two groups and it’s practically impossible to be original now. Anyways, hope to see more of them in the future. :]

Wow, Wondergirls are finally back into the k-pop scene. After all of the American promotion, it’s great to see them back, and they came out with another catchy song--2 Different Tears. It sticks to their retro style, and it’s fun~ I love the beginning and the song all together fits them. I’m impressed that they were able to release the song in so many different languages, but they did. :D

Kyaa~ Suju is my favorite guy group, but f(x) is my favorite girl group. I have to say that there is no MV that I have ever anticipated more than this MV. I've been a bad blogger...So pretty picture to make it up? :/

Hello~ LONG time no see, eh? It’s already been two months! I’m sorry!! >.<||| I thought May would be a “ladida~” month but I was terribly mistakened. It might be worse than April. Well here’s just a quick update to say I’m alive, and I apologize for the sudden leave. I just have to admit that life and other interests got the better of me, and I just haven’t been in the mood to blog. >_< It’s just not fun when you aren’t in the mood.

Anyways, school is out and hopefully I can start blogging…something. XDD I don’t know, I’ve just been having fun just watching stuff without blogging it. But hopefully I will blog something. I honestly don’t know what will happen, and I apologize for that.

I also feel terrible about not having my first impression post out like I usually do. Spring has always been the hardest for me to have first impressions since it’s the same time as my state tests, and geez…it got the better of me this year. I was studying like crazy…finishing my textbooks and…yeah. I apologize greatly for not including the first impressions. In a quickie, I’m in love with Kaichou wa Maid-sama! let’s just say that. I seriously fangirl every time I watch it. And if I decided to blog it, it will probably just be…lots of fangirling. Angel Beats is also pretty good, but I couldn’t keep up, as well with other shows, including Durarara!!…*depression* So I’ll probably just start from the most recent episode since I don’t have the time to marathon. My friend just explained to me everything that happened so I think I catch the drift.

In other news, it seemed as if my website was suspended for awhile. Just to clear that up, I took up too much bandwidth and space…again. -.-” Ironically enough, the plan says unlimited bandwidth, and they randomly suspend my account for taking up too much, without even telling me. So I apologize to anyone who has been confused about what’s been going on.

So, I was hoping to move over onto another host soon. It won’t be any domain changes thankfully, so we’ll be good. I’m so tired of moving around, so I decided to go to the apparently reliable GoDaddy hosting. Opinions on it? Once I can get the moving down, I hope to start blogging again. In the meantime however, I’d like to focus on moving over before I get suspended again, since it will be permanent the next time I do.

Anyways, I just wanted to apologize for the sudden leave. Like I said, the same excuse for every leave I have, lots of stuff. >w< I always get myself so busy to the point that I have to stay up late, soo…>_>” Not that summer will be much easier. I decided to take up tennis next year so I’ll be busy with that all summer. Piano is another priority as well. Summer homework might also take up some time, but I guess the most time consuming thing this summer will be trying to make some money and start that online store I’ve been talking about. Now I’ll have the time to make some more keychains and t-shirts. Like I said before, when I get enough content, I’ll open up the store and announce it.

Enough about that though, let’s focus on the blog. I hope to start on what I said for the Spring update now since I’ve been holding off on it before. Bad me. >_< So…hopefully look forward to that…? Heh…orz I’m ashamed of myself. Bye…!

Wow. I was surprised to find this video. It was quite a few (3-4 maybe?) years ago, my friend showed me this video. I just found it funny and enjoyed it back then. I ended up having it come back up in a conversation with my friend for a long time who watched the video with me back then. As you guys may have noticed, I’ve updated the blog for Spring! So, I’ll give you guys some explanations, plans, etc. for Spring. Anyways, it’s a short post with some explanation on the blog, banners, etc. I still might make some changes but my computer’s lagging, haha. Hope you guys enjoy the updates!

Theme

Well it’s pretty obvious that I changed the theme. The old theme I had was wayyy outdated; I meant to change it in January–it was planned to only be there for about a week. Then I could change for February, then…yeah. However, things just didn’t go according to plan. Alas though, I’ve changed the theme to…Suffusion!

To be honest I’ve really wanted to have Suffusion for awhile now, but I couldn’t get it to look nice. XD The default colors to me look much too dull and weird. So, I have to say that it took a lot of customizations on my part. I tried my best to make it the best I could with this theme, since I wanted it to be a big comeback. After all, I didn’t get to stick to my plans. I had to make some graphics for it, replace the colors, change the navigation (though I’m still having *some* issues with the navi bar–sigh, I’ll miss my little fun sliding navi bar), etc. I changed the background obviously, and yup, this is how it turned out.

Some of you may be saying, “Why is it green? March just passed!” Well, to be honest, I don’t just associate green with March, I associate with all of Spring, so deal with it! XDD I associate green for spring, yellow for summer, orange for fall, and blue for winter basically. There are other colors, but those are the main ones. So…yup. I also chose this green because it looked cheerful, and when I was going through themes, I saw this lovely, minimal, simple theme called Belle. I was about to use it, but it was too small, and I wanted three columns for once, so it would be even harder to fix it to my desire. I played around with it anyways, and it had a few color options, and one of them was green. I never thought of using this kind of green, but I loved it afterward.

So I hope you guys enjoy the theme, and enjoy dragging the widgets around! Omg. I just thought of this one song I’ve been replaying this past week. lol

Banners

I really don’t have much to say about most of the banners except FAIL to practically every single one. I could not find great scans of any of the shows I wanted to make banners for. So I’ll add more once scans start coming. There’s probably like…one I’m satisfied about, and that’s the KwMS! one. Even that one I’m not so sure about. However, that’s most likely because the KwMS! banner is the main banner and goes with the theme best.

Oh, and if you see this Hakuouki banner, does it ring a bell? XDD If it doesn’t, it’s extremely close to one of my old Hetalia banners. So, the tagline says, “We haven’t came that far,” because of that. Btw, I’m not even 100% sure that tagline is grammatically correct. So if it isn’t, please tell me and I apologize. I kept wondering, “Is it come or came?!!” even though I keep leaning towards come, I put came. >_<

Blog Plans

Soo…what are my blog plans? I don’t know! :DD Let’s see, posts that I hope to have come soon are the Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Angel Beats!, and Hakuouki first impressions. I think I’ll just put them all together in Random Anime like I have done recently. My exams are so soon I don’t have time to really do long posts.

Umm, I also have a small Youtube Dump coming soon. Also, since I did warn in the beginning that this blog could be on any media, I hope to blog some k-pop. Just a small feature I’d like to have. I might include K-pop news with the Anime news on News Blurbs, but I’m not sure about this one. What I am sure, if I even do have any k-pop, is having a feature where I include notable MVs which have been released that week. I’ll just have a small thought on it, and a bunch of Youtube videos. Sort of like a Youtube Dump–MV version, but not really?

I’d love to blog Kaichou wa Maid-sama episodically, but I don’t see how it’s possible. I’d probably do it over the weekends if I could. We’ll just see by that~ April shall be the hectic month. After it’s done, I will finally be free!~ :DD Actually it’s officially June, but May’s like…ladida~XD K, drifting off now.

Spring 2010

So here are shows that caught my interest, though I might check out the first episode for some that aren’t even listed down here. I really won’t be blogging much because I’m still busy. Dx Probably just first impressions. If I do blog, it’s most likely going to be either just one series, or Random Anime. If there are any mistakes (since I have plenty of them) feel free to point them out. Most of the information is from MyAnimeList and/or the chart (credit: chartfag), and being the lazy girl I am, the summaries are copied and pasted from MAL. orz. So here are the shows in no particular order.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!!

A romantic comedy that centers on the student council head named Misaki Ayuzawa who despises the mostly male, slovenly population at her school, which was once an all-boys school. However, Misaki’s most handsome schoolmate just discovered her secret — that she works afterschool at a maid café.

Kyaa~ Probably the most anticipated show for me. >w< I barely read the manga, but I always saw clips of it, my friends always told me about it, and so I began liking it from that. I did read some chapters myself, so…yes. Anyways, I was skeptical about the anime from that first scan we got awhile back, but after seeing the trailer, I got excited for it again. Misaki actually doesn’t look too bad. It’s Usui I’m worried about. =.= Couldn’t they make him…better looking? Well, I guess maybe because it’s anime, but still…

Watching? Oh yes. =w=

Angel Beats!

In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the otherhand, Tenshi, the chairperson of the student council for the world after death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural powers.

Seriously, the show sounds awesome to me. X3 Plus, it’s Key’s next anime. Key is already practically an automatic watch all on its own. And having an awesome summary, animation, and character designs just won me over. I really don’t know much about the show itself, but I am looking forward to it.

Set in a family restaurant in Hokkaido, the northern prefecture of Japan, 16 year old high school student Takanashi Souta works part-time along with his strange co-workers: Taneshima Popura, a high school girl who’s a year older than Souta who’s easily mistaken for a elementary/middle schooler, and Shirafuji Kyoko, the 28-year old store manager who doesn’t bother to do any work at all.

I already watched the first episode, so of course I’m interested. xDD It didn’t look too bad to be honest. The character designs are really nice, and it seems like a nice show to relax or eat ice cream to. I just find Poplar (Popura?) so adorable so far, even though I don’t know too much about her to judge her actual character. I don’t know, I’m fond of characters who don’t look their age since I’m in the same situation, lol. So anyways, the show looks good so far, so I’d like to continue checking it out. Now about Souta being a lolicon…>_>

Watching? Most likely when I can. Probably marathon it randomly, haha.

Arakawa Under the Bridge

The story is about the strange courtship of a successful executive in life called Kou and a mysterious woman called Nino who lives under a bridge. Thus, Kou becomes her boyfriend, but has to live with her under the bridge…

I really no nothing about the rest of the shows, including this one. Just going by what I’ve read as a summary and pictures, it looks interesting. I’d like to check it out, since it looks pretty unique, different, and as I’ve said before before, interesting. For some reason I get the same type of animation vibe as One Piece and Fairy Tail. Especially One Piece because I see a guy with a star for a head. ._.”

Mayoi Neko Overrun!

The story revolves around Takumi Tsuzuki, a boy who lives with his older “sister” Otome, although the two have no blood ties between them. Otome manages a run-down confectionery store called Stray Cats. One day, Otome picks up a mysterious beautiful girl off the streets.

This show looks cute. Yep, cute, light, and fluffy, which is why I’m going to check it out. I don’t know, it just seems like another fun light hearted series I could just relax to watching. Sounds a bit like Chobits, but it has to do with cats…so I have no idea where it’s heading. Oh well.

Yojo-Han Shinwa Taikei

I have no idea why I put this. -____-||| I just…did. I didn’t really want to, but something about it took my interest. I just want to see the first episode, really. I’m not expecting to like it, but I was going to a thread in MAL about it, and it got me convinced to at least give it a chance and try to check it out. By the way, the post is right here. Other than that, I’m not really sure about the animations, it seems very…old school western cartoon-ish. Oh, and I checked out the trailer…the guy talks wayyy to fast. O.o

Hakuouki

The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru’s protectors and help her look for her father(the doctor). Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shingensumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group. The story is overall romantic with a historical and political background.

Whoaa…long summary. Anyways, I’m actually really looking forward to this show. I’m not usually into the historical stuff, but this show has samurais!! XDD And the Shinsengumi! Yup, based on what I usually watch, it seems so out of place for me to be excited over this show. Then again though, this is based off of an otome game. So maybe it isn’t too far off since there seems to be some romance in there? Anyways, I’m actually looking forward to the action of the series more than the romance *shockgasp!* but that’s a nice bonus to it, and it might change as I watch. I guess the excitement stems from my love of Rurouni Kenshin? I don’t know much about the series, so I can’t say if it is similar, though it just reminds me of the show, haha. Plus, the samurais are bishies. Never mind, they’re the creepy bishies (they look nothing like the pictures!), oh well. Whoa, long thought paragraph to go with long summary, haha.

Watching? Oh yes.

Ketsuinu and B Gata H Kei: Wtf? Are you serious?

I was looking through the shows and I noticed that Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru sounded pretty good, and I was about the put that up, until I realized it was shounen-ai (not really into shounen-ai >_>). So that’s why I ask…why does there always have to be a catch? D:< Then again though, it might be a good thing I’m not interested. If I were, I’d have to remember that title. OwO

I was also going to put Senko no Night Raid, which I am pretty interested in also (why didn’t I put it up there then…I don’t know), but I’m not really into historical, like I said before. Plus, I’m kinda worried how they might portray Chinese…? That was probably the main reason I didn’t put it up–the different country portrayals. But I still will most definitely give it a shot.

Haiyoru Nyaru-Ani also caught my interest with the picture, but after the summary that it’d be from Flash, I got turned off. Flash cartoons don’t really look that great, in fact, most “cartoons” I see from flash that still try to look like anime and not a chibi, look really unbearable to me. DX Plus, the summary said that it’d just gags, so I was just like, “Never mind then.”

Could it be?!! Monthly Mania?! And a post? Yay! Happy Early Valentine’s Day! I finally have another issue of Monthly Mania as my Valentine’s Day post~ :D I intended to wait awhile before I’d post it, but I didn’t plan for it to be this long. Since it’s been so long I’m as enthusiastic as ever to make another issue. Also, this issue has more than usual. :DD It includes a movie, drama, video game, anime, manga, and novel. The drama is especially long though since I cut it out from a draft of another post. More in celebration of it’s first issue of the new year. I don’t plan to have it monthly still, but during months when I feel I have enough to put.

Movie

Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do

Cast:

Summary:

Jung-won wears a funny dragon suit, while working at the amusement park, and pours soda on Eun-gyu, because of his taunts. A short while later, Jung-won finds out that Eun-gyu has moved into the house next to hers. Eun-gyu now threatens to tell Jung-won’s parents that she works part time at a local mart. To keep Eun-gyu quiet, Jung-won agrees to carry his guitar for a week.

Jung-won then starts to develop feelings for Eun-gyu, who is the lead singer of a band called Do Re Mi Fa So La Si Do. Eun-gyu also starts to develop similar feelings for Jung-won. The two soon become a couple.

With an odd twist of fate, Jung-won went to the band’s rehearsal room and meets a familiar person from her past, a boy named Hee-won. Their relationship makes everything more complicated.

So depressing that I have so little to write about this…

So annoying typing it out. x_x Anyways, after finishing You’re Beautiful, I decided to watch Jang Geun Suk’s (Taekyung’s actor) other stuff. Therefore, I watched um, this movie. Not much to say because it’s a movie, but it has become one of my favorite movies now too. I’m pretty sure it’s the first Korean movie I’ve watched, but I do really like it.

It’s starts off very slow, and not that interesting. However, if you watch through it, it does get much more interesting later. I had to persuade my friend to continue and at the end, she was glad she finished it. Sometimes the characters are really stupid yes, but I definitely did cry a few times as well as my friend. It’s sweet but sad at the same time, and the dramatic parts are well played, believable, and really heartbreaking. Some may find it over dramatic, but my friend and I totally loved it. However, I simply loved the ending, and gah~ make sure you watch through the credits. ^^

Overall, great music once again from Jang Geun Suk, some sweet romance, ignore some stupid parts and you’ll find yourself a great romance comedy.

You’re Beautiful

Summary:

His agent came up with the idea of having his twin sister, Mi Nyu,to stand in for him and pretend that she was her brother. The two of them grew up in an orphanage and Mi Nyu, who was all set to become a nun, agreed to this charade as she didn’t want to spoil her brother’s chance of fame which would make it easier to look for their mother.

Thoughts:

This is now officially my romance favorite drama. I was wondering why I didn’t watch more Korean dramas (which this is), and this brought me back into them. To be honest I didn’t want to watch more dramas since I didn’t want to be distracted, but my friends forced me to watch it, claiming it was addicting and just so good. X) Reluctantly, I watched it, and soon found out it was. I became literally addicted. What made me happier, is that this is on TV here where I live on those Asian channels. :D

Maybe what made me addicted was how much it reminded me of Hana Kimi from the plot. It’s about a girl named Go Mi Nyu who is training to be a nun, but finds out her twin brother is in America having surgery, and she has to fill in for him as member of the all-boy group A.N. Jell. So pretty much, if you like K-Pop, hawt guys, cute romance, cross dressing, then this is definitely worth watching.

The romance is a lot more like the cute shoujo animes/mangas I’m used to. Again it has the cliched jerk and the nice girl. This time though, the romance is all about the development. It revolves around their romance developing til the end, rather than midway. It also has some family twists in it later. And I guess maybe that’s why I loved this series so much. The interactions between the characters are just so adorable I want to squeal. The chemistry is definitely there, and it’s simply a sweet hilarious show. And from the Korean dramas I’ve watched, many of them have lots of development, which is probably why I enjoy them so much. It’s not as rushed. Each moment and step is also valued much more, and the constant references to stars can be refreshing and cute.

The main characters are also very likable too, and I feel sympathy towards them. You know, except for Yoo He Yi and Taekyung’s mom. They get awesomely pwned so it’s all good. -u- Taekyung wasn’t exactly very likable in the beginning, but I soon really warmed up to him once he changed his hair and showed his cute side and opened up. Plus his OCD is hilarious. And Go Mi Nyu is a decent heroine, she doesn’t get on my nerves or anything, and plays out the nice role. However, my favorite character other than Taekyung has to be…Jeremy!! xDD He’s just so cute and funny it’s irresistible. X) Shin Woo isn’t a repulsively annoying kind character, but he does creep me out sometimes. He is definitely sweet though and I do feel sympathy. Lastly, I have to hand the coolest character title over to…their designer (which I keep forgetting her name)! She’s a hilarious and awesome noona/unnie. XD

Anyways, it’s definitely enjoyable and good. If you’re starting out on a dramas I’d definitely recommend it. Even if you aren’t, it’s definitely sweet and heartwarming, and has lots of moments to fangirl for that remind me of the sweet romance animes I enjoy. Plus, I forgot to mention the music is great too and each cast member was perfect in playing their role and being multi-talented. :D

Video Game

No More Heroes

Summary:

The story follows Travis Touchdown, who is a stereotypical otaku – his motel room decorated with professional wrestling and anime collectibles – living in near poverty in the No More Heroes motel of the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California. After winning a beam katana in an internet auction, he runs out of money to buy video games and wrestling videos. After meeting with Sylvia Christel, he accepts a job to kill Helter Skelter, also known as “the Drifter,” which earns him rank 11 by the United Assassins Association, a governing body of assassins. Realizing that he has the opportunity to make it to the top, he sets out to secure himself the coveted position of number one hitman in the UAA.

After killing the tenth ranked assassin, Sylvia reveals that if Travis stops killing, he’ll eventually be targeted by other aspiring assassins. Travis, now convinced there’s no way out, goes on to try to kill every other assassin on his conquest to the top.

Thoughts:

Yup, a game all about killing. But, with the sequel recently out, I guess it’s a good time to introduce No More Heroes. :D My uncle had actually rented the game, but ended up buying it after all since it was a lot better than it appeared. :] A loser otaku assassin with Touchdown as his last name? Definitely different. XD

The game is pretty straightforward and simple. Reach the top. However, it’s a pretty entertaining one at that. Or at least…different and…interesting. >_> The game gets a little more complicated and interesting later, but it is fun in the beginning nonetheless. You can do lots of stuff outside of killing people, like playing with your cat, buying clothes, etc. However, if you know your Wii, then the gameplay is also very easy to learn. The characters are decent, I guess. Not really the strong point of the series in my eyes. The main character is a loser otaku, to say it bluntly. And why he should be the main, I have no idea, lol. Oh well. But I guess the character I dislike the most is the blonde umm…head of the rankings? However, it is entertaining to see the cut scenes between the characters, since each character in the rankings has a distinct personality immediately resulting in lots of entertainment.

Overall, not a bad game--it’s pretty different, interesting, and most importantly, it’s fun. ;]

Anime

Peach Girl

Summary:

Peach Girl is a high school drama centered on Momo Adachi. A former member of the swim team, Momo tans easily and her hair is bleached out; unfortunately, she is stereotyped by her ignorant classmates, and is forced to endure rumors about being a playgirl. Her only friend is Sae, who is actually responsible for spreading the nasty gossip due to her jealousy of Momo. Momo is in love with Toji, a taciturn baseball player, but the scheming Sae also has her sights set on the boy. Momo’s life is further complicated with the introduction of Kairi Okayasu, a wise-cracking playboy who is determined to make her his.

Thoughts:

I watched this series a long time ago, so there isn’t much I can write about. :/ However, I decided to watch it on a whim while looking for new anime, where my uncle just randomly pointed it out. I didn’t want to since I knew of its um…drama, but I did anyways. It was definitely dramatic, but I did enjoy it. Perhaps my standards are a bit low?

Let’s see. The animation is a little below average, as I’d prefer it that guys don’t have eyelashes drawn. You can tell a lot about the type of anime it is by the picture. Otherwise, like I’ve mentioned before, it’s definitely like teenage drama on overload. Indecisive girl, awesome guy is awesome until he gets the girl, etc. However, I did enjoy it because it got some part of my fangirling inside and the end turned out satisfactory. Let’s see, the characters are pretty average, especially the heroine. However, I do like Kairi (at least, in the first half). He’s pretty awesome in the beginning, but later I’m like, “Wtf?” at him. But then he comes back again which is good. :D The romance is can be random, yet still maintains a cute vibe that I fangirl about. I’m also glad that even the bad guys turn good, which leads to Sai, who I really wanted to slap. But later she is a pretty cool character.

Overall, not a bad series at all that I definitely recommend for those who love those excessively dramatic series with break ups and heart aches and the works. ^^ Usually one of those love em’ or hate em’ types.

Manga

Beauty Pop

Summary:

Kiri Koshiba uses her hairstyling talents to help brighten up the lives of girls, but she does so anonymously. On the other hand the Scissors Project (also known as the SP), a group of three boys at school, gives grand makeovers to already-beautiful handpicked girls. Shogo Narumi, the head of the group and a hairstyling genius in his own right, finds himself butting heads with Kiri. To make matters worse, Ochiai, another member of SP, plots to expose Kiri’s talents. As much as Kiri tries to shy away from the spotlight, she finds herself drawn into the world of hairstyling.

Thoughts:

After just going through my public library and borrowing this, I immediately liked this manga. <3 Maybe it’s just because I had it in my hands? For whatever reasons, I liked it in all its shoujo cliches.

Anyways, it’s a pretty unique concept of haircuts being a part of the plot, but I guess that gives more options if you like drawing hair? XD Anyways, there are several reasons why I probably enjoyed it so much. Firstly, the main girl is pretty unique, and isn’t the average shoujo character. However, she’s still kind and cool, as some might say. So, it’s entertaining to see how she’ll react or what she’ll do. The main guy is definitely entertaining and made me lol all the time. So overall, the two together make for a very entertaining manga. X) The drawings are pretty decent as well, although sometimes the characters look a little awkward.

Overall though, the story is generally nice, light-hearted, and fun ride. It’s pretty average, but still nonetheless enjoyable and good.

Thoughts:

Novel…it’s a text novel. I’ve already mentioned this novel briefly in my Blossom Blabber, but I feel I should probably elaborate on it. It’s currently ongoing and I’m still trying to catch up on it, so I can’t say everything I should about the story. But I’ll try! XD

To start it off, it has a very calm beginning. To be honest, I’d drop it if I wasn’t bored one day and decided to read more. After I get past the beginning and into the good parts, I go through chapters like crazy. XD So give it time and it will be interesting and intense. The characters are decent for a novel like this. The characters are developing, which is always great. The main guy is pretty mediocre, though sometimes I wish he’d have some sense knocked into him. It’s harder for me to say much about Aoi since she’s in a coma for a long time and she still is in where I’m at (which just shows how much I need to read). She seems extremely sweet, though that may be exaggerated from the point of view the story is told at. The only problem is, due to the main character’s view of her, she seems like a mary-sue. They’re relationship is already set from the beginning and is extremely sweet, but I guess it may seem like a “perfect” relationship to some…until the conflict comes.

Overall though, I like it. Some parts keep me at the edge of my seat, although what I just mentioned doesn’t seem like it. xD I acknowledge the author’s amazing use of simplicity in the writing, so don’t expect it to be super detailed. It’s supposed to be simple, since it’s a cell phone novel.

Ahh, finally done. Hope you guys enjoyed the comeback~! Boy I’m exhausted now.

Anyways, I wanted to say that I probably won’t be blogging much, although it’s kind of already evident. I just wanted to explain why. Mainly, school as usual, and just interest in other things outside of anime. This season isn’t very great, and I really just enjoy watching Kimi ni Todoke and Durarara!! at the moment. However, there really isn’t much for me to say on them and I don’t want to force myself. I’ve just been straying away from anime and gotten more into music (so expect more of those posts), being with my friends more (I used to be under really strict rules, but now they’ve lessened and I can actually hang out with friends outside of school O.o), working on a long personal project, making keychains (I’ll post up the shop when it’s up, so look forward to that!), reading, etc.

I’ll still post when I can, but I’m not forcing myself to that much anymore. Shorter posts will most likely come from this though. The reason they haven’t been coming now though is from working on this. But anyways, I’m taking your suggestions and I’ll most likely break up Blossom Blabber. :D

So late!! Everything is already on episode 2. Dx Anyways, first impressions on the Winter season. Tbh, no shows really impressed me. I’m not hooked on any show. I’ll follow a few because they seem like they’ll get better, but no real one to squeal about. I’ll probably continue to follow the Fall shows. However, the one thing that does appeal to me this season are the numerous amounts of wonderful BGM. So I’ll be looking forward to tons of OSTs. :D

Hanamaru Kindergarten

It was definitely a cute and hilarious light hearted series. It was a lot more enjoyable then I expected (because I expected to just plain dislike it, haha). I have to say sometimes Anzu sometimes annoys me but I guess it’s inevitable. I love her friend Hii-chan (too lazy to remember her whole name). She’s just so calmly cool, and her neko costume is adorable. The different EDs are also very nice, and the main guy isn’t that bad. He doesn’t get on my nerves, so…he’s okay in my book.

So-Ra-No-Wo-To

I have to admit I was going to first say I was plain bored with it and didn’t like it. However, after I decided to watch the rest today (I watched it yesterday with distractions), I have to say it’s actually interesting so far! I like it so far. It has a different vibe than usual and it has a very interesting concept to it. Though I still think there are some K-On! rip offs, it’s already a lot more interesting than K-On!. I’m not a slice of life kind of person, because it usually bores me, but so far it seems like there’s more to it. Also, the BGMs are absolutely beautiful. I love the French BGM. The art for the landscape is also done impressively.

Dance in the Vampire Bund

Hmm…because I’ve never read the manga so far, I’m at a clean slate with it. I have to admit the beginning was boring with the game show, but it started getting interesting when I saw Mina. I’d like to see what’s going to happen in the future. It looks somewhat interesting…However, I’ve heard that it’s straying from the manga, so I’m afraid if that’ll be for the worse or for the better. I have a feeling it’ll be the former, but I guess we’ll have to wait? It was categorized as romance, so I hope to see some romance soon. Even though by the looks of it, it’ll be some boring romance.

Durarara!!

Uwah, one of the most anticipated by the season and I’m sure it doesn’t disappoint. I was searching so much for it, but I finally just watched it on crunchyroll. My favorite music of the season no doubt. As for the series, it has that mysterious feel and pulls off the urban feel really well. I really hope to see more revealed because right now I have no idea what to expect and what’s going on. XD But it looks good, and that’s good enough for me to continue. The characters are likable, and Kida is really a great friend character at the moment. So far Mikado seems quite the average character, so I hope to see lots of development. Overall, it’s really good, filled with awesome, and could possibly be one of my favorites for this season as well.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu

Surprisingly enjoyable. Um…one of my favorite first impressions? I’d hate to admit that it’s one of my favs this season and I don’t know why. It just kept my attention the whole way through and it was pretty interesting and funny. So I liked it. It has an interesting concept that reminds me of a video game, though not quite. The chibis are so adorable! >w< The characters aren’t special, but they don’t get on my nerves either. Traps are awesome, pervert is hilarious, and I guess it’s just plain fun to watch. So maybe now I know why I liked it so much.

Ookami Kakushi

Lol this is exactly why I want to push her off a cliff. Is she rubbing her butt on him?

One of the biggest disappointments this season. Hiro is plain boring. I’d like to slap Isuzu off a cliff for being such a w***e. And the only characters I’m actually okay with are Nemuru (actually, she’s pretty awesome), the God which I’m pretty sure is Nemuru, and Kaname. Everyone else…blergh. The class is way too happy it’s suspicious as well. The only interesting thing was when over-happy-guy died. XD

Anyways, I’m most likely going to follow Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu, Durarara!!, and Sora no Woto. I’ll also occasionally check out Hanamaru Kindergarten. So I’ll catch up on my Fall series when I can to follow more. I don’t know if I’ll blog any of these series, I’ll probably just go back to Kimi ni Todoke and try to blog YumePati once I catch up. And if any Winter shows I find are worth blogging I will. Or I’ll do random episodes that I want to blog. XD I’m still pretty unorganized.
