I've been a bad blogger...So pretty picture to make it up? :/

Hello~ LONG time no see, eh? It’s already been two months! I’m sorry!! >.<||| I thought May would be a “ladida~” month but I was terribly mistakened. It might be worse than April. Well here’s just a quick update to say I’m alive, and I apologize for the sudden leave. I just have to admit that life and other interests got the better of me, and I just haven’t been in the mood to blog. >_< It’s just not fun when you aren’t in the mood.

Anyways, school is out and hopefully I can start blogging…something. XDD I don’t know, I’ve just been having fun just watching stuff without blogging it. But hopefully I will blog something. I honestly don’t know what will happen, and I apologize for that.

I also feel terrible about not having my first impression post out like I usually do. Spring has always been the hardest for me to have first impressions since it’s the same time as my state tests, and geez…it got the better of me this year. I was studying like crazy…finishing my textbooks and…yeah. I apologize greatly for not including the first impressions. In a quickie, I’m in love with Kaichou wa Maid-sama! let’s just say that. I seriously fangirl every time I watch it. And if I decided to blog it, it will probably just be…lots of fangirling. Angel Beats is also pretty good, but I couldn’t keep up, as well with other shows, including Durarara!!…*depression* So I’ll probably just start from the most recent episode since I don’t have the time to marathon. My friend just explained to me everything that happened so I think I catch the drift.

In other news, it seemed as if my website was suspended for awhile. Just to clear that up, I took up too much bandwidth and space…again. -.-” Ironically enough, the plan says unlimited bandwidth, and they randomly suspend my account for taking up too much, without even telling me. So I apologize to anyone who has been confused about what’s been going on.

So, I was hoping to move over onto another host soon. It won’t be any domain changes thankfully, so we’ll be good. I’m so tired of moving around, so I decided to go to the apparently reliable GoDaddy hosting. Opinions on it? Once I can get the moving down, I hope to start blogging again. In the meantime however, I’d like to focus on moving over before I get suspended again, since it will be permanent the next time I do.

Anyways, I just wanted to apologize for the sudden leave. Like I said, the same excuse for every leave I have, lots of stuff. >w< I always get myself so busy to the point that I have to stay up late, soo…>_>” Not that summer will be much easier. I decided to take up tennis next year so I’ll be busy with that all summer. Piano is another priority as well. Summer homework might also take up some time, but I guess the most time consuming thing this summer will be trying to make some money and start that online store I’ve been talking about. Now I’ll have the time to make some more keychains and t-shirts. Like I said before, when I get enough content, I’ll open up the store and announce it.

Enough about that though, let’s focus on the blog. I hope to start on what I said for the Spring update now since I’ve been holding off on it before. Bad me. >_< So…hopefully look forward to that…? Heh…orz I’m ashamed of myself. Bye…!

As you guys may have noticed, I’ve updated the blog for Spring! So, I’ll give you guys some explanations, plans, etc. for Spring. Anyways, it’s a short post with some explanation on the blog, banners, etc. I still might make some changes but my computer’s lagging, haha. Hope you guys enjoy the updates!

Theme

Well it’s pretty obvious that I changed the theme. The old theme I had was wayyy outdated; I meant to change it in January–it was planned to only be there for about a week. Then I could change for February, then…yeah. However, things just didn’t go according to plan. Alas though, I’ve changed the theme to…Suffusion!

To be honest I’ve really wanted to have Suffusion for awhile now, but I couldn’t get it to look nice. XD The default colors to me look much too dull and weird. So, I have to say that it took a lot of customizations on my part. I tried my best to make it the best I could with this theme, since I wanted it to be a big comeback. After all, I didn’t get to stick to my plans. I had to make some graphics for it, replace the colors, change the navigation (though I’m still having *some* issues with the navi bar–sigh, I’ll miss my little fun sliding navi bar), etc. I changed the background obviously, and yup, this is how it turned out.

Some of you may be saying, “Why is it green? March just passed!” Well, to be honest, I don’t just associate green with March, I associate with all of Spring, so deal with it! XDD I associate green for spring, yellow for summer, orange for fall, and blue for winter basically. There are other colors, but those are the main ones. So…yup. I also chose this green because it looked cheerful, and when I was going through themes, I saw this lovely, minimal, simple theme called Belle. I was about to use it, but it was too small, and I wanted three columns for once, so it would be even harder to fix it to my desire. I played around with it anyways, and it had a few color options, and one of them was green. I never thought of using this kind of green, but I loved it afterward.

So I hope you guys enjoy the theme, and enjoy dragging the widgets around! Omg. I just thought of this one song I’ve been replaying this past week. lol

Banners

I really don’t have much to say about most of the banners except FAIL to practically every single one. I could not find great scans of any of the shows I wanted to make banners for. So I’ll add more once scans start coming. There’s probably like…one I’m satisfied about, and that’s the KwMS! one. Even that one I’m not so sure about. However, that’s most likely because the KwMS! banner is the main banner and goes with the theme best.

Oh, and if you see this Hakuouki banner, does it ring a bell? XDD If it doesn’t, it’s extremely close to one of my old Hetalia banners. So, the tagline says, “We haven’t came that far,” because of that. Btw, I’m not even 100% sure that tagline is grammatically correct. So if it isn’t, please tell me and I apologize. I kept wondering, “Is it come or came?!!” even though I keep leaning towards come, I put came. >_<

Blog Plans

Soo…what are my blog plans? I don’t know! :DD Let’s see, posts that I hope to have come soon are the Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Angel Beats!, and Hakuouki first impressions. I think I’ll just put them all together in Random Anime like I have done recently. My exams are so soon I don’t have time to really do long posts.

Umm, I also have a small Youtube Dump coming soon. Also, since I did warn in the beginning that this blog could be on any media, I hope to blog some k-pop. Just a small feature I’d like to have. I might include K-pop news with the Anime news on News Blurbs, but I’m not sure about this one. What I am sure, if I even do have any k-pop, is having a feature where I include notable MVs which have been released that week. I’ll just have a small thought on it, and a bunch of Youtube videos. Sort of like a Youtube Dump–MV version, but not really?

I’d love to blog Kaichou wa Maid-sama episodically, but I don’t see how it’s possible. I’d probably do it over the weekends if I could. We’ll just see by that~ April shall be the hectic month. After it’s done, I will finally be free!~ :DD Actually it’s officially June, but May’s like…ladida~XD K, drifting off now.

Happy One Year Anniversary for BMC!!

Uwah~ Time goes by so fast, doesn’t it? Anyways, today is the one year anniversary for BMC! I wish I had been more prepared, but this vacation was a lot busier than I thought. ^^; Anyways, I am pretty stumped on what to write because a bunch of things are coming to my mind at once and I really don’t know how to put it all down–at least, cleanly. xDD

Random Ramble:

Well I guess BMC didn’t really start out as much, not that it ended up being that big, either, haha. But it does bring out a lot of fun. To be honest, not for the modesty but honestly, I didn’t think I’d be able to make it this far. There were tons of times I thought I should just give up, but I honestly didn’t want to. I wanted to at least last for one year. xDD And now that one year has passed I want to still keep going. It probably won’t be that long though, but I’ll try my best!! I can’t believe though that I was going to end up having people read some of my posts, which makes me super happy, because it feels like I’m not talking to myself. xD And with my short attention span….>_> Yup…I actually made it. :’D

Stats

Oh no, it’s the…stats part. ._.” I’m ashamed of my stats. I’ll say it straight out right now. My blog isn’t popular, I barely have anything. I’ve moved around so much though that my stats are getting lower, and lower…and lower…Anyways!! My blog isn’t that interesting, so it’s not popular, so it makes sense. ^^ Then again, my current blog has a chunk missing out of my stats due to forgetting to install the counter. o_O Anyways, from around 5 yesterday, my total hits from all my blogs were…56,035! Yup, that’s…lame. ._.” The majority are from my wordpress.com blog. It had around 49,000. XD It’s doing better than my current one even if it hasn’t been updated at all. It still gets regular views. XD I still haven’t done many posts on this blog and haven’t done a regular series in awhile so, that’s probably why.

I’m not surprised, lol. I started this blog mainly for shugo chara, so I’m not surprised that it’s number one. Since my WP.com one has mostly…Shugo Chara posts, all of it’s terms are of…Shugo Chara. Future Plans

I’m not so sure about future plans yet. I hope to well, post more. I just need to find time and a series that I’ll have stuff to say about. I’m just so busy at the moment it’s hard. I have a ton of posts in my drafts, but they’re all outdated. I was contemplating if I should start fresh short posts instead of medium ones, but I’ll only do it once I get a three column theme. It sounds funny, but I also plan on that as well. It’ll be better if I post shorter posts with a three column blog to me because I hate having extra sidebar leftover. D:< I’m also wondering if I should bring my friend along to blog with me since I don’t get to update much and I have friends who enjoy anime/manga, but that’s also unlikely since I haven’t asked and they don’t seem the blogging type? XD

More Blossom Blabber is hopefully in the future. However, I’m wondering if I should just break up Blossom Blabber into each of their own posts. I’ll be doing a drama one soon, but that’s just temporary. Otherwise, like music, manga, dramas…I’m still unsure though. Feedback would be helpful. ^^ Let’s see. Hopefully more News will coming back, and I really hope to bring back Monthly Mania. I stopped before because I was bored with typing it (you should’ve watched me try to type out the last one) and couldn’t think of much, but I hope to bring it back once I get series.

All in all, I plan on more posts–more manga reviews, more video game (I never really had an individual video game post even though I had planned on doing so when I first started) stuff, random youtube videos, and more music things because I’ve been into lots of music recently. However, school is back and I might be slowed down thanks to that. So busy @AAA@ it’s not fair….TT^TT Overall, I have no idea what’s in the future atm. ._.”

Theme Change

And for a hopefully small amount of time, I’ll be changing the theme in celebration of the anniversary. The theme is called unwakeable. Why did I choose this theme? Well, when Iwas looking for new themes, I happen to pass by this theme. It happens to combine the two themes unsleepable and k2. Coincidentially, those were my first two themes. ^^ So I thought it would be the most suitable theme to change to. Going back to the past theme. It won’t stay very long because I like my custom headers, but with school and everything, I’ll try to squeeze it in there sometime or another.

Phew, yay for being a bit early this time! Anyways, since I got my Winter preview up, and it feels a little out of place to keep my former theme, I’ve made some Winter changes for the blog~ I hope everyone enjoys them first of all. Even though it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet, the Christmas music is already playing on the radio so it doesn’t seem to early, right? So I’ve added some new banners and a little bit of revamps on the theme; thus, a short Winter update post. :D

Theme

Hey~ A theme change without an actual URL move. It’s been awhile since that’s happened. xD

I can honestly say that I’m always soo tempted to change into another theme because I just love all the more choices with self hosted wordpress. Soo, it was really hard to keep the same theme and just change the colors, but I did~ Actually, this theme has four different colors, so I just changed to blue and made the background. Not much to say about it this time, except that of course it’s a Winter-y theme.  I don’t know why, but I like this change a lot more than before. I guess it’s because blue is my favorite color. I’m not into Halloween, so the Halloween colors on my blog before weren’t exactly my favorite. Not to mention a brighter background makes the site look so much more open~ Okay, so now I’m going into a messy ramble, so onto the banners!

Banners

Ah, this time, I didn’t have as many banners made as before. I’ll probably make more as I find more scans. So for now, I won’t remove all of the banners from my old rotation just yet. I’ll keep the ones that fit. However, this time, I have a “meh” sort of feeling towards this set. There are some that I really like, but then others that I just wish I would’ve done better. Maybe I just need to add more. xD

Kimi ni Todoke: Under the Stars

The Kimi ni Todoke banner first because it’s my favorite. Favorite show, favorite banner~ Even though it’s a pretty plain banner and doesn’t look like a lot of work was added onto it, the reason I love it so much is because that’s not all true. It’s a lot more plain compared to what I usually do, but I think that’s what I love so much about it. Also, it was the first time I ever actually extended the picture, so I’m pretty proud of myself, haha. It’s pretty obvious where since I’m not that great yet and it was my first attempt. Anyways, if that doesn’t make sense, all in all, half of the sky was well…made by me? And I didn’t need the clone tool! xDD So I feel pretty accomplished (since I’m so noobish still on photoshop). xD It probably seems unreasonable to most people, but I don’t know, I feel happy on my first attempt.

Anyways, rewinding back. I had wanted another Kimi ni Todoke banner since I didn’t want to (but had to) remove my new Kimi ni Todoke banner. Anyways, I remembered how lovely episode 7 of Kimi ni Todoke was, and I absolutely loved the scene under the sky. So, I grabbed a screencap of it. I just loved how beautiful the sky was, so I just had to use it for a banner. However, the screencap was cut and didn’t extend further leading to the situation before. Afterwards, I just added glassy, glowy text that I thought would go along.

Eden of the East

Ahh, the Eden of the East banner. I forgot where I got the fanart from, but it isn’t mine, firstly. Anyways, a pretty “meh” banner to me. Since we have the first movie coming in December and the second movie coming in January, I figured, an Eden of the East banner should fit fine. xD

Anyways, I pretty much just went crazy on this banner. I added tons of effects. I think I was experimenting or something when I made this; however, I don’t remember since I made this banner way before the rest. I added the checkers, tiles, circles, thunder, etc. Since the theme is blue, I tried bringing out as much blue as I could in the banner. The attempt failed.

Watashi ni xx Shinasai!

Probably my least favorite banner. Not image though. The image is just hawt~ Anyways, it’s my least favorite because I couldn’t do the picture justice.

I decided after being deprived of other Winter scans, to use manga scans. Since the Nakayoshi calendar just came out (which, btw the scans belong to cookie.Dough, thank you!) I decided to use the image for my banner. It is a Christmas card afterall. However, I had problems on what to do for the rest of the background. Thus, what you currently see occurred. I changed a lot of the borders to be a tint of blue (maybe I’m a bit crazy on the blue?). It was pretty hard for my uncreative mind to decide what to do for the background, so that’s why it looks so blergh. Oh and the tagline. A pretty lame one. WnxxS! fits being hawt, so…I just thought the tagline fit it. Unfortunately, some of the text is hard to read, so I apologize for that.

Shugo Chara!

It was a beautiful picture. But I killed it with my title. Even though Shugo Chara! definitely isn’t up to par, I’m still into the manga. I’ve dropped the anime, and I’m probably only going to watch the anime if someone tells me to.

However, about the banner. I was looking for Christmas scans of Shugo Chara, and I came across quite a few Winter-y and Christmas-y scans. I wanted to use all of them, but I realized it was pretty hard to include all of them (hence why they’re used in this post xDD). So I simply used my favorite. It’s just so colorful and pretty~ Then I just slapped some random text on and that’s about it. xD

Kobato

One of the ones I was satisfied with. I had found this perfect scan of Kobato and I just had to use it. It fits so well for the season, and it’s just so pretty. :3

I didn’t do much to the banner. For the image, pretty much the only thing that I did was fix the line in the center. However, I added lines on the side and bottom to give it a…gift box look to it. Lastly, I just slapped on the title. To be honest, it’s sort of different from what I usually do like the rest from this set, but I’m still happy with it. :D I just wish I could include more of Ioryogi!

Anyways, I guess that’s it. It’s a pretty short post, as I’ve mentioned before. I hope to add more banners when I find more awesome images~ I’m hoping to find at least some nice scans of the Winter shows coming up so that I can make banners with the Winter shows. If I do make more banners though, I’ll just add them into the roll. :D

My Many Excuses from RL

So, as you guys have noticed, I haven’t really posted much lately, nor commented. Really, I apologize to everyone for not commenting on posts! I have read them, but I haven’t had the time to take the time and comment. I like having my time to comment because I like giving full comments. So…the blame is mainly on school. Just awhile ago, a couple students and I went to a conference, and so we found out how fail we are. TT^TT So pretty much, we have to pick up the pace. What does that mean for me? Even more working! >:D Apparently I was unknowingly titled the one in charge of it all…so yes. I’ve been a pretty irresponsible leader, so we have to get things back on track since our class messed up a rally. TT^TT

I also have a reading assignment I have to finish as a slow reader. So I need my time to finish up the book so once I’m finished I can be free and get to work on my blog without worrying about finishing the book. So if things go as planned, I’ll be able to work on lots more blogging once I finish.

However, if blogging is still slow, please understand. I also have to work on the school magazine, so that takes time off of my hands. *sigh* If only I had all the time in the world. I’ve also recently started planning a new story, so I’d like to work on that as well.

Blogging Plans

The first impressions post is going to be worked on, but it’s going to be late. I apologize for that. It was planned for the weekend but I was busy busy busy the whole weekend that I didn’t even get to finish up or work on long term homework. Things would be so much easier if I had a 3 day weekend like I should have, since Columbus Day, but alas, we had school today. It should come this week. I still haven’t even watched all of the anime I plan on watching, so I need to watch it before I have first impressions. I’ve only watched Shugo Chara!! Party, Kobato, Yumeiro Patissiere, and Kimi ni Todoke, so there’s lots for me to catch up on.

Speaking of Shugo Chara!! Party (I really don’t care about how many “!”s are in the title), if it isn’t already obvious, consider it DROPPED. It’s not the Shugo Chara! I know, but then again, I never expected it to be. As soon as I remembered live action, I jumped to Kirarin Revolution and decided to drop it. I have to say this though. The voices aren’t exactly the best to listen to, I feel sorry for the girls having to act like that (“Omg, really?! I did not know that!” in the most robotic, unbelievable tone), Rikka is somewhat cute, Puchi Pucchi! is ridiculous, just give the anime more time, the Guardian 4 and the Buono songs aren’t bad, but it’s all just really disappointing. I knew I was going to drop it, but I needed to announce it. I might add some here and there, but I don’t want to feel forced to blog something that I don’t want to blog. If I did actually blog it, it would be the same thing everyday, “It sucks. Wtf. It’s so wrong. What the heck are they thinking?!” I’ll just find myself in a repetitious circle of flaming. And really, I barely even watched it. I didn’t watch the second episode, and I watched the first episode by the time the second came out. And so now, I feel free!!~ It actually feels good.

However, I’m changing the title of the category, and making it “Shugo Chara!! Doki” and put it under the finished category. I really need something there…xDD

So now, I’ll blog different series. I plan on catching up on Hetalia one day and mini blogging those. It’ll be short posts, but that’s okay. I’ll have fun. Isn’t that what blogging’s about?

Or maybe Kobato, Kimi ni Todoke, or Yumeiro Patissiere. I really think blogging them would be fun. If I could find the right time.

Instead of blogging shows individually, I was considering maybe gathering all the shows I watch in one week and putting it together in a weekly Random Anime post at the end of the week. Not sure about it though. Just a thought though.

I want to get more posts out, since I always have thoughts but have no where to put it except in a small blurb, so I might add some new blogging things if everything works out. Let’s see how everything turns out. I might pop up with some random feature though. I’m already planning on having News Blurbs posts, where I have random blurbs on news, and the Youtube Dump into a separate post since I have sooo many videos I want to share!! XDD So actually, expect those two very soon. :D

Also….new Letter Bee Banner is up very soon!~ All I can say is…I’m satisfied with the results. It took a lot of time and effort compared the the rest of the banners, and I think it was worth it. :D

I apologize for a second move, but this move looks like it’ll last longer. Anyways, welcome! As many of you may have seen, my blog was down due to reaching my bandwidth. I couldn’t have that happen again, so with the help of my uncle, I decided that I had to move again. All in all, I think it was a good decision to make because I had tons of complaints about my previous hosting, especially since it wasn’t stable…at all. But besides moving, there are some fall changes that I was planning to do anyways, as you can see, a new theme and new banners!

Aghhh…..but it took longer than I thought. So lots of stuff are still messy because I tried bringing out the blog as soon as possible…

Moving

I started freaking out when I reached my bandwidth, and had to do something. I was going to do the post to host, but I was still worried about bandwidth. The best deal required paying, and it well….didn’t sound too bad. Now I’m not totally into paying for things like this, but that’s not the total story. I got an offer to join NotCliche, and well, that seemed like the perfect solution! I started phewing so much since I’ve always wanted to join on of those families. :D I was really happy, I guess you could say, and made the mistake of saying out loud, “Well everything is solved!”

My uncle…the only person besides my anime friends IRL, is someone who actually knows and is pretty content about me blogging. We’re like super close. Sure I get teased a lot, but he doesn’t really mind it. He’s into computers and knows most of the stuff I’m dealing with, and noticed the bandwidth issue. He knew that I needed to get it fixed as soon as I could or else my readers wouldn’t come back. And when I said, “Well everything is solved!” He began to inquire how. I told him of the offer, and he had that serious expression. He started having doubts like, “What if they close?”,”You don’t personally know them…”, etc. I really still thought it was okay, but he gave me this massive guilt trip and gah, I gave in. He was willing to pay for the hosting, since he did so in the past.

A little backstory. Before I started blogging, like, 3 years back or so, my uncle really did pay for hosting, since we were planning on making a website. Well due to my short attention span and confusion in everything in the past, I never went anywhere with it. I sort of abandoned it, but I didn’t know my uncle still was paying for it (that still makes me really sad). Yeah, I’m spoiled. Anyways, a couple days back, he finally confirmed the cancel we made a couple months back, and so he escaped having to pay for the hosting again. So on the same day, he decided to just pay for different hosting–hosting I’d actually use. So yeah, my uncle was involved a lot on moving. And he spends money on whatever he wants. Luckily to make feel less guilty (I was writing sorry all over his paper xDD) we decided it would be considered a birthday present, since my birthday is coming up very soon. :D And I get to still pay for the monthly fees, and he just pays the start up. I’m not really happy about moving twice, but I hope things will work out. It seems that having this host already fills in the gaps that the other host left with my issues and all. I still want to join NotCliche cause it’s free and economy sucks for our family.

Ahhh but even though we were able to get the host, it took a lot of time to transfer my post without using the quick way of doing it from wordpress blog to wordpress blog, since the dashboard is inaccessable. I had to end up transferring MySQL databases. I tried the whole database, which ended up leaving me with a totally blank page with the Bandwidth Exceeded page now on my new blog, so I had to import table by table. There may be some things left out regarding that. Also, because I can’t transfer it and the other blog is still not working, the images that are hosted in the old blog are not viewable. I’ll try to fix that as well.

Theme

I think the most fun thing about not being limited is the ability to surf for themes. So I found one really nice theme, tweaked it a bit, and it fit most of my needs. Also, it resolved some issues I had as well. It is part of the arialquatro theme set, which comes in 4 colors. I plan to use it until ThemeFrame, a theme I’m looking to use, is out. Scratch that. ThemeFrame is now announced to be premium, wtf. I think my favorite thing about the theme is the menu, and my least is the header. It looks so floaty, as if it doesn’t belong. Ugh. It originally had ads, so it was a hassle to take those out. xD I plan on using this theme set for several seasons as well! But I’m always surfing around, so I think I’ll be changing themes often.

For the things I changed, I just made the header bigger really. It required some work though because of the ad there and the background which goes with the size that was already there. I had to remake the background to fit the new size, haha. I was hoping to add a border or something, but it didn’t work out. I also had to cut out some text that looked like it linked to some phishing sites. I couldn’t find where they were coming from, and looked in my footers with nothing there, so I just cut them. xDD

Hmm….the last issue I had but can’t fix (so we have to live with it for now until I do fix it) is that there is no toolbar. The code clashes with the theme, and if the toolbar is there, the menu doesn’t do it’s gliding thing. xD I’m still also unsure about the background, so chances are that the background will change quite a few times before I find the right background to use.

Banner

Fall banners!~ Actually, there are 3 banners that are not. But other than that, the banners are fall shows I’m looking forward to that have decent scans already.

11eyes!~ This was originally a totally different background, which I disliked terribly, but I was able to find a bigger version of this scan so voila! Ahh…I absolutely love this scan. It totally fits the Fall theme. It’s a rather plain banner, but I didn’t want to ruin the scan too much. There was originally a line in the middle of it for the magazine, so I had to fix that. Probably the first time I had the chance to do that kind of image editing. So yes, my skills are quite terrible. Overall though, I like this banner a whole lot than the other version of it. The black gradient was added to add some sort of decor on it, and also so it’s somewhat like the old 11eyes banner.

Well, this banner mainly came from the wallpaper I made awhile back for the character single. I was going to put it up before, but decided to put it up with these banners. I didn’t do much to alter it. I just raised the texted and added those vector circles. Since I was pretty fond of the wallpaper, I’m pretty content with the banner, even if it doesn’t totally fit. xD

Eden of the East banner!~ I’m soo excited for the movie, so I decided to make a banner for it~ I know I won’t get to see it in a while but it’s alright. ^^ It’s a pretty montoned banner except for Saki and Akira, who are color. <3 Because they are who you need to pay attention too! >:D Well, most of it was unintentional, actually. I just added lots of brushes I thought “looked” nice. I think my favorite effect was the crack, since I tried making it look sort of like the ED, and so the crack sort of adds to the paper feel to it.

The Fairy Tail banner~ In this banner, it features my terrible photo editing skills. I had to remove the background from the images, and so lots of it is really noticeable. Most of the background is based off of the manga covers, since they sort of remind me of maps. So I decided to add the script brush to resemble that map feel to it.

Haruka~ This banner is probably one of the better banners in the batch to me. It’s plain but sweet. I really wanted to have a Haruka banner, but I had trouble looking for a scan. When I found this banner though, I absolutely loved it. She just looks so cute in this, as well as cherry blossoms! *A* It’s not really noticeable in this picture though. I used the color off of the scan, and just started from there. Everything sort of just….came together for it? I just got random brushes I thought looked nice. The lace effect was added to close in the banner, but mainly because it fits Haruka, mainly her attire.

The first banner I made for the batch~ The Kimi ni Todoke banner is probably one of my favorites for the batch just for it’s simplicity. The colors match somewhat as well. I think my favorite part of the banner is the effects added the orange stripes and border. The smiley was actually pretty funny since Tall Paul, the font I used, has a pretty cute looking smiley when you type it out. So I simply typed it out, and rotated the smiley, haha. The smiley just fits the warm kind of feeling this series gives off to me.

Kobato banner~ It looks sort of plain on the pink side, even if I did add a background. Not much to add to this banner, except….Kobato’s so cute~ Ahhh I wish I did her picture justice. But alas, the banner is so boring. :/ So let’s just pay attention to Kobato, shall we~?

Utau!~ Why so awesome? *refers to the tagline* Utau’s just so awesome I just had to use that as the tagline~ Anyways, I’m pretty satsified with how this banner turned out. I was experimenting with some brushes when I used this, so yeah. Most of it just….happenned with no real goal in mind. Afterwards, I was pretty satisfied. xD Also, the vector I used was from the same website as the Amu vector, so the vector is not mine. :D

Yaya and Rima look so cute in the scan~ They kind of had that bubbly cute sort of posed, so I used brush vectors that fit them. I think it turned out pretty decent…:/

Yumeiro Patissiere!! I really wanted to have a Yume Pati banner, but I had a problem finding a scan. I searched around and found a really cute scan, so I decided to use it. You can really see my terrible photo editing skills in this banner, seriously…it FAILS. I thought it turned out…bubbly and happy, even though the color clashes terribly with the rest of the theme. I ended up adding some food brushes that I thought fit the cute thing to emphasize that the series has to do with food…even though she wants to be a patissiere and these are alnost all fruit so they’re barely related. x_x

Overall, a pretty average set. I might add some more later when I find some cool scans. I already have a Letter Bee banner coming up, but it got deleted since my computer froze.

Well, after working for 3 weeks (or a week and a half, since the rest of the time was on vacation) on it, I’ve finally moved out of wordpress.com! *is so happy* If my blog is on your blogroll, please change the link~

Anyways, welcome to the new Blossom Media Center! Hopefully things will be bigger and better. I don’t really think I deserve moving, but I couldn’t resist. X3 I’ve honestly wanted to self-host it for months now, but I didn’t want to buy a host again and decided to find a free host. Huhuhu…now I can delete that rant on wordpress.com draft. Somehow I stumbled upon hosthelpers, and so I’m really happy to finally find my own hosting. There are a few regrets I have, but overall, I’m pretty happy with the move. I wasn’t able to move all of the comments because they were made after I imported everything, so if you want, you can re-add them. :D But I apologize for that.

Gah, I’m assuming this wasn’t a surprise to anyone like I’d hope because I was changing the youtube video codes and that accidentally sent a pingback which exposed my little secret. Now the rest is just mindless babble on the little adventure of the move (along with cute unrelated pictures of Sakura).

Theme

Well the first thing I needed to decide was which theme to use. And it was a lot harder than it sounds. I guess it’s because there are just so many themes to choose from. I went through the whole list on wordpress.org, lol. I had jumped around with what theme I was planning to use. I guess it was because I didn’t have any image at all for what I was going for. The only things that really mattered were custom headers, 1 right sidebar, and it had to be wide because of a certain post with large images that needed to fit (but thinking about it now, I could just change the image size…). Later on I wanted round corners, haha.

In the beginning I was aiming for a theme with massive customization, so at first I had planned on using the “Constructor” theme, but the navigation menu bugged me so much I looked further. :/ “Arclite” was one I was really considering, but the CSS was so confusing for me (I’m a newbie at blog CSS…>_<) that I couldn’t change the background and it wasn’t something I was fond of. I’m so picky xDD. Anyways, suddenly on a phone call with my friend I had the image I wanted. Immediately after I hung up I guess I just started looking around and the closest one to my image in terms of layout was the “This Just In!” theme. But I guess there was just so many flaws I could point out that I looked further. I had looked at l2aelba-2 (my current theme) awhile back, but even though I liked it I brushed it off because it didn’t support category hierarchy and the sidebar was too narrow and the content part was too wide. However, I kept going back to it, until I finally caved in and tried my best to change the parts I didn’t like on the stylesheet. After I was able to change the widths (I still can’t figure out how to change the main width though >_<) of the sidebar and content, I guess I had hope and stuck with it.

I changed quite a few things on this theme, but the CSS was simpler, so I didn’t have as many problems. Let’s see…I changed the background tint to a dark blue that almost looks black, lol, since I was trying to make the theme go with my Sora no Manimani banner. As mentioned before, I changed the widths. And the header obviously. Other small little things I added too such as the dots underneath the title, and the post title is aligned center rather than aligned left when you view the post. There are still some things I need to fix though, that I’ll include later. ^^

Overall, I’m somewhat satisfied, haha. It’s a simple theme, but I like it anyways. I’m not sure if I’ll get into the habit of changing my theme frequently yet (because I have some strange attachment to the themes I tried before), we’ll just have to see I guess.

Banners

Rotating Headers

So one of the main reasons I moved was for moving headers, which ended up being the most frustrating part of moving for me…ironically. xD But I looked around, used google, and I used a pretty promising code, which worked for other bloggers. I was pretty excited, until it didn’t work. I tried typing in multiple URLs, and it still didn’t work. Thankfully my uncle is in computers and installed Zeus to help me with the code, to see if it was broken…it obviously wasn’t. I think the problem I had was that I didn’t know what the URL to get to that code was. Somehow, I don’t know how, I was experimenting and typed in one of the banner’s URL and voila, it was there. So I tried typing in the code file, and suddenly, it worked. XD I do not know how, but somehow it worked. But I’m happy it did and I happily added in banners to fit the theme. ^^

The Banners

Well, I decided to do a banner on what I originally had hoped in doing before the move. I had the Sora no Manimani banner first, but it was pretty much that I wanted banners for the new shows this summer. And since I added a small blue tint into the background, I decided to make the banners have a hint of blue to compliment with the whole theme. But these banners relate to summer from the summer anime season!~ >:D Now ramblings on the banner and how it’s made. ^^ I’ve put them under spoiler tags just so it’s a bit cleaner, just this one time. ;]

Plugins

Okay, so small blurbs on plugins. I guess after moving I went all plugin happy. xD I found a bunch of plugins to use, and I’m still looking, haha. Anyways, let’s see, I downloaded the spoiler tag plugin, which I absolutely lo~ve. Expect me to go spoiler tag happy. X)

But anyways~ I also added custom smileys, which I got the smileys from anikaos.com. The website has great resources for anyone who wants smileys. But I actually had to type up the smileys code making me pretty proud (I’m a big coder now~ jk, I suck at coding still). I’m probably going to change the smileys every once in awhile, since I love so many different sets. But anyways, liking custom smileys.

I also installed an audio player, youtube plugin (I’ll still need to change the youtube code to the new one though), lots of comment plugins (if it isn’t already obvious xD), and a cool download monitor I’ll still need to experiment with.

Ahh I love plugins. X)

Other

Well, even though I’ve done the move, I am still a little afraid or regretful on some things. I guess one of them would be the idea of self-hosting. I’m not sure if I’m able to handle it with all of the database backups and everything, haha. And I guess when you move to a site your stats (I hope this doesn’t make me seem selfish or something >_<) you would assume would drop since people still go to your other blog. It’d be quite odd if my old blog kept more views. xD

To-fix list

And even though I’ve moved, and I’ve tried my best to make it start off the best it can with everything working, there are still some things that I’m trying to fix. It’s just a list to let you guys know that I’m not ignoring any of it. And if anyone could give advice on how to fix it, it would help a great deal. *didn’t meant to sound beggar-ish* So let’s get onto it, shall we?~ (On a random note, I apologize if I sound like I have OCD in this, because I don’t have it)

• Special characters
  Ahh yes. If you look at my blogroll, I’m having an issue with any sort of special character outside of plain old English. I think this is on my webhosting’s side of things, although I sure hope not. The problem is that it’s just not supported, so whenever I have a special character, they just appear as “?”. I know it’s not my computer since it shows up on any other site, so I know it’s the blog…or something. Anyways, I apologize to anyone who has well…a special character in your blog title because I feel like I’m not being loyal the real title by replacing some of the characters so it isn’t full of question marks. But I’m still looking into it!~
• Font
  Yes…the font. -___- The font is probably the biggest thing that bugs me about this theme. It’s not the type of font it is, it’s the size and line spacing. I really apologize if it’s hard to read the blog because of the font (please tell me if it is or isn’t). I tried making the font bigger, but no matter what number I changed it to, it only changed the footer. I couldn’t find the content font so it’s pretty much stuck like this for now. TT^TT Fixed! Thank you very much 7! :]
• Sidebar
  Well, a couple stuff belong in this section. The “Search Box” just went off into another line. Dx I tried to change the search box, which no avail. But then again, I suck at coding, so it could’ve been obvious and I just didn’t see it. But anyways, the search box is something I need to fix. Resolved, it turns out it was originally like that. But again, thanks to 7 for helping anyways! (And on an off-topic thing, should I keep the flash twitter widget or is too overwhelming? >_>) And the blogroll is too plain. So I’ll have to fix that too, because just the links makes it look…pathetic or something without decorations. ._.

To sum things up, I’ve got some stuff to work on. And I feel like a noob because it seems so easy to fix even though it isn’t to me. Blog coding is so much different from forum coding. Dx

The recording

Well I purposely waited to place the recording after I moved so I can play the audio. So if you actually read through all of this, I finally post up the recording of one of my pieces. It’s called Once Upon Another Time, composed by Dan Coates. Don’t let this be the judge of my piano playing btw…Dx I know there are tons of mistakes because I choked after one mistake. And I’ll use this pathetic excuse anyways: I get nervous when I record. But despite all of this I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Downloads/New Segment in BB

Well, after being tempted for so long, I finally got a mediafire account. I actually signed up for terahost, and ripway before, but my ripway account got deleted from inactivity. I might switch back and forth from terahost to mediafire, since I’m still trying to figure out which one works for me. Anyways, onto the point. Since the whole “youtube video” idea didn’t exactly work out, I’m going to try a new section this time. I might re-try to the youtube feature, since I have the spoiler tag now, but I’ll have to see if I gather enough youtube vids to post up. But anyways, the new little feature I’m trying out will just give links to download random things. It’ll be a part of Blossom Blabber, either with a current section or a whole new section depending on the download. I’m planning on adding some downloads that I’ve found (I don’t want to interfere with Kanzeon’s turf xD) such as brushes, older albums, random stuff…but look forward to it! I can’t guarantee I’ll keep it, but I’ll be trying it out and see how it goes…

Recycling images ftw~ Well, his reaction just fit the moment. ^^;;

Well, the title is self explainatory. I’m…going on a hiatus. Yep. Well, it isn’t a very long hiatus. It’s near the end of summer, my recital is almost here, and well, I’m just sort of busy with other things too. >>;; It’s about a 2 week hiatus. This will be a short post just to say this.

Well, I have my recital on Sunday, and I’m freakin’ scared more than any other year because I didn’t practice as much as usual. TT^TT Well you know how I wrote about my intense training? It got all haywire mid-way through Summer because I was barely home. Soo…more practicing, because I still suck.

Anyways, onto the hiatus. I really should call the hiatus next week, but I just don’t want to feel obligated to blog this week because of other things I’m working on, so I’m calling a hiatus.  That way, if I don’t have a blog post, then I have a reasonable excuse (sort of). If I happen to be done and everything is just peachy and working out, I might squeeze in a blog post, but that’s highly unlikely, since I doubt that I’ll be finished and satisfied with what I’m working on, at all. >_< I’m sure people who follow me on twitter have already seen my many rage~ moments already with what I’m working on, and I apologize for that.

But after the recital, a whole next week is on hiatus because I’m going on a road trip~ Yay~ sort of. 16 hours straight (well, besides breaks for food and stuff) of driving. We’re going on vacation by car, and…yay. I like vacations a lot, it’s just the whole car drive thing. xDD But besides that it’ll be fun. I’ll be back from that around the 2nd or 3rd of August. And then the hiatus should be off. By then I will also be doing before school work. >_< So, school is right after that. It’s a short summer this year. ;_;

Anyways, that’s it…I’ll still be around updating twitter and going through blogs though. But at least after the hiatus (since I will definitely be back), things will be bigger and better (hopefully). xDD

Well it’s time for another theme change! As you can see, there’s a new banner and the theme has changed colors. Oh I love the ability to customize colors~ Anyways, the new theme is a fireworks theme. I decided to make a new post anyways. I felt like I’d ruin the post if I tried fitting the new change in there since I was unprepared and created no room for me to make it nice and easy to add.

I’ll miss the KnIY summer theme, but it’s okay.

I have mentioned before in my Blossom Blabber post that I decided to squeeze in another theme(a.k.a. this theme) between the original next one and the Koko ni Iru Yo! one. Well, I’ve figured out my schedule now. I don’t think I’ll get another unexpected change, since it would make things much harder and one theme wouldn’t be able to stay long enough. But I will say that this theme won’t stay as long as others because of reasons mentioned later.

Banner: Sumomo

Banner comes before theme explaining because it was the inspiration for the theme.  Anyways, the new banner includes Sumomo, who is the absolutely adorable and cute heroine for Nanatsuiro Drops, an anime I watched last year. If I could I would’ve nominated her for SoMT. Anyways, it was more of a coincidence for the banner. Actually, everything sort of came together from making the banner.

I was just searching through photobucket looking for images of an anime girl with fireworks or something. Or I was looking for just an animage of a cute girl or something, I don’t think I was even looking for fireworks, because I don’t exactly remember it (only that I was surprised to find it). But I was looking around and I happened to find an image of Sumomo with fireworks, which just screamed perfect for a banner. I just had to use it. I’m glad though, because I wanted to use a character from an anime that I haven’t talked about often or paid attention to in awhile. Something out of my usual.

The image was way too perfect, so I barely made any changes. That’s probably why this was probably the easiest banner to make (to a certain extent). The banner is actually a pretty simple, basic banner. The only thing I did to the image (besides crop it), was change the edge so it was curved, rather than the usual corners. And…you can’t really consider that changing the image. But the original image was here. I guess credit goes to an apparently closed site. But even though I didn’t do much, I am upset though that it looks like her hand isn’t attached to her body, since the rest of her body is barely visible.

The next part was adding the text. The surprisingly hard part. Even though it doesn’t look like it, it took me awhile to get to what you see now. I had tried several different texts, which took up so much time trying to make, like the outline with a semi-transparent gradients, which had several different versions. Pretty much, I tried this, didn’t like it, tried that, didn’t like it, and tried too many complex things before I just tried a basic simple style. Which I was satisfied with. Which made me upset that I tried complex before going to the obvious simple. I guess it was because it was hard finding something that would compliment the rest of it. Once I had text that blended in too much, and another that stood out too much (even though standing out text is fine…to a certain extent) to the point where it didn’t fit. But now I’m pretty happy with the text I used.

And the tagline…well it’s simple really. Setting off the fireworks. Setting off fireworks for various reasons…about to be mentioned.

Theme: Fireworks!

Well, this theme was added originally to celebrate the coming of the 4th of July. And that means fireworks, which is my favorite part of the 4th of July. But then it also relates to summer in other reasons as well (because I’m sure anyone who doesn’t live in the US probably doesn’t care as much about the 4th of July). Even though it’s not at the same time, the summer festival also includes the fireworks show, so that’s another thing that this relates to. Also, I wanted to use fireworks because it’s going to be staying for anime premieres. So it’s going to be like, “Whoo~ Summer anime premiered, fireworks to celebrate!~” even though that’s…a little over exaggerated. And Fall probably deserves more fireworks than Summer. But it’s only going to be staying until most of the shows have premiered for the Summer season.

But anyways, the background is the color it is because it’s supposed to go with the banner. I think it’s a nice contrast to the previous theme colors, and it’s a bit easier on the eyes. Overall, I’m somewhat satisfied, except I don’t like the background tone. :( Maybe because the background is just solid and looks a little more odd when it fills the back plain. But I’m glad I was able to make the text readable instead of changing it to a different color from the background to make it readable (like last time). And I’m pretty satisfied with the banner.

Whoo!~ It’s finally summer time for me! I’m relieved yet sad at the same time. School going out means intense practicing in. I’ll get more into that later. But anyways, in celebration to the end of the year, I’ve got summer updates! It’s a pretty short post though, since there isn’t much to say for me.

Summer anime post will probably be coming soon, since I’ve gotta get it in before shows actually start premiering. Dx So much to do…

Blog Theme

As you’ve hopefully, probably already noticed, the theme has changed~ I changed it to Vigilance, thanks to that little poll I put up before. I’m really excited using this theme, since the more I saw it, the more I liked it. Before, I kept just going “meh” on it, but as I began to play around with it, I really actually I liked it. I like how much I can customize the colors and stuff, and how it’s width will force me to write more. xD But for now, I’ve changed the colors to match with the banner, so it’s all yellow and brown. Changing the background color makes it easier for the theme to go with the banner.

But, like everything else, there are some things I will still have to get used to. I’ve mentioned this on twitter before when I was playing around with the theme, but I’m upset about the font. I’m personally sick of Times New Roman. I really am upset that I can’t change the font unless I get the CSS customizer which is kinda pointless to buy. So yeah, I’ll have to start getting used to it. I’m also upset with the size of the banner, making it pretty short yet long. So the banner didn’t turn out so great because it was enlarged and cut off a bit to fit. I’m also a bit sad that I couldn’t change the background from being just a solid color. I was hoping for some small stripes or something, but ah well. It’s barely anything.

Overall, I’m excited about the new theme. I’d like to know your feedback on it~ I’m hoping to keep it for awhile since it just goes so well with any banners. I guess we’ll see!

Banner

I changed the banner for summer! It goes with the classic yellow that goes with summer, and has clips of Hikage from Koko ni Iru Yo! She’s so cute! I thought a sunflower would fit. ^^ I also had a picture of her in a kimono with sunflowers, but it got cut off thanks to the new theme. :( The sunflower costume is cute anyways, and it just so happened that the banner is out also in a small celebration that new chapters of Koko ni Iru Yo! actually came out.

I made this banner a long time ago, but I saved it for summer since that’s when it fits. It was the first time I tried the gradient text for a banner, and I’m pretty satisfied with how the title turned out. Before, it was all pixelated and lots of noticeable pixels. I’m glad that I was able to fix that though. For the tagline, “Enjoying every waking moment of summer” I guess it just fits what I had planned for summer. I wanted to enjoy every moment of summer I had. And since I stay up, saying waking moment means almost all the time! xD I’m kinda iffy on how I feel on the banner. I feel like I didn’t make the Koko ni Iru Yo banner as much awesomeness as it deserves, so I feel sad. And since I got the size wrong, it’s all blurry because it got enlarged yet cut off at the same time. O_o So yeah, it’s not really one of my favorite banners, even though it has one of my favorite manga.

For this summer I’m going to be changing the banner frequently. I guess it’s because I have more spare time to work on the banner. I already have the next banner coming up finished. I’m more satisfied with how that one turned out rather than this one, since I got the size and everything right.

YouTube List Feature

Well, I’m not sure how this will turn out. I’m thinking of adding the YouTube List section in Blossom Blabber. It’s a new section where I just get YouTube videos I favorited recently and make quick comments on them. It would’ve been put in other, but I feel like I might have too many that it would just need its own section. It’s mainly an effortless section since there is barely any writing, but the only thing I’m afraid of is how many videos I could put up before I slow someone down too much. So right now I’m currently working on how to fix that. ^^ Or I might just totally forget about this, but it was an idea I had. >.>

Looking Ahead…Personal Stuff…

Well, as everyone probably already knows, I’m excited for the summer season to relax. But I also forgot some stuff too, so I won’t be able to totally relax, like my spring break. Over the summer I’ll be doing preparations for my piano recital. I have it every year, and I go under intense practicing for it when school ends. If anyone is wondering, the “intense” practice is when I practice one song I’m struggling to make good enough for the recital, every hour. I practice parts, pieces, pages, something like that, which takes about half an hour, and I spend the second half hour on break, then go back. I usually end up practicing like usually around 6, maybe more maybe less, times a day. It might not be that “intense” for some, but it is to me. xD The recital is at the end of July, and I get a break in August. The only downfall is that my school is starting much earlier this year, which means I have about a week of a real kinda slack off break (and even that gets a little interrupted when I have to go to school before everyone else). Maybe even less. But then when I go back to school…oii. Because of my grades I’ll be getting the one teacher notorious for giving the most homework out of any other teacher. x.x But that’s looking a bit far ahead. I’ll still be more active on my blog though, since I stay up pretty late during the summer. It’s not like I do the practicing my whole day. It’s like…3 quarters of my day. x] It’s my fault though, and that makes me upset since if I got the song good enough before, I wouldn’t be in a pinch like this all the time. TT^TT Oh well…

But over the summer, I’ll still be able to do other things too. You’ll be surprised how much I can still fit in my summer! The good thing is that I’m never bored. But I will be working on my stories, since I want to get back into my writing. I’d like to show some excerpts if I’m ever satisfied enough with my stories. But I’m usually never, so it’s probably not going to happen. I’ll also be working on improving on my drawings and working on my comics (yes, I draw comics x.x it’s utter-fail though).

Oh and for the blog, as I’ve already mentioned before, I’ll be changing the banner frequently. They are all going to be summer themed, whether it’s obvious or not. I’m hoping to just update this post each time I make a new banner, but I’m still trying to figure out how to bump a post. :/ I think I know, but I haven’t tested it out yet. Anyways, hope you like the updates~
